This happened last night. I was at the pub with my mates having a great time; eventually, it came to the point where the barman wanted to close up and go to bed, so we all made moves to leave. My coat was gone. I was at first upset, then livid; there's no way it could have been put elsewhere in the pub as my mates and I scoured the place. Then we find another coat; it belongs to this guy who'd I'd term as an aquaintence. He'd obviously taken my coat in order to play a really pathetic joke.

No, there is no way he did it by accident; his jacket is a puffer style one, mine is a fake fur. I hadn't a clue where he was; three of my mates went with me round to his house, but he wasn't there. I went home; yup, I walked home with no coat thru a freezing cold November night with only my intense anger and upset to keep me warm. I could not afford to replace the coat; I pretty much live hand to mouth at the moment due to the credit crunch and don't have a spare £50 hanging around. Plus, I had his coat in a bag; one of my mates suggested I take it as a sort of ransom, just in case the idiot got iffy about giving me my coat back.

This morning, I got a text from my dad. One of my mates had dropped my coat off round my parents' house (said mate was originally my brothers' mate, so he doesn't know where I live exactly) so I asked Dad to drop it off at my house, and I called up said mate. He told me the details of what had happened; ie, idiot had showed up at another of my mates' house wearing my coat, and it being far too late by them for him to take it round my house after he'd taken it off idiot, he'd waited til morning to call my and my brothers' mutual friend so he could pick it up and drop it round.

Two things; firstly, I toyed with the idea of dropping idiot's jacket in a puddle or stuffing it in a wheely bin but in the end decided to take the high road and after stuffing it in a plastic bag, dropped it off at the pub cuz there is no way I'm taking it round his place after what he did. Second, I will sit on my coat from now on when I go down my local; which I should not have to do, just cuz some immature moron thinks it's funny to play stupid jokes. And finally, all my mates are really disgusted with idiot, as is the barman; I'm thinking that he won't find the local a very comfortable place to be for a while.

Beer make joke funny, no?

Drunk people do the stupidest things. Eg last night was our local council's Guy Fawkes fireworks night. We were sitting there, enjoying the show, and across to our right was a group of teens including Very Drunk Girl. VDG was sitting with her back to the show and facing her friends and spent the entire time whining about food or her friends and at some point stood up, still back to the show, and demanded "Someone take me home right now!" Completely oblivious to the fantastic spectable happening right behind her, and probably the very reason she came out tonight.

Honestly, if we discovered alcohol now, it'd be a banned substance. With good cause.
