Just found out a few days ago that the ex is moving to a different city. The good news is that it's only about 30 min away. The bad news... well, that's everything else.
I won't get to see my sweet little Em every day. :( I pick her up from pre-school every day and get to spend a few hours with her. Em mentioned in the car that she was moving, but I didn't think much of it because she has said it before. And 5 year olds aren't the most reliable source of information.
They are moving because of the economy. The ex and her bf are going to take over the bf's family's donut shop/cafe.
Em has assured me that she will call me every night. The ex has promised that I will still get Em on her usual sleep over nights.
This is going to be very difficult for me. How can you go from seeing your daughter almost every day, to one day/night a week?
