Whenever I went to change the litter box, Riley would jump right in as I was pouring....so I took to shutting him in the shower. This went on for quite sometime...and I have noticed last few times he jumps in the shower himself and wait....too funny!

Hehe, that's funny! My boycat likes to come use the litterbox when my mom is trying to scoop it.

Ugh, my cat is the same. Apparently there's no greater joy in the feline world than squeezing one out in a fresh box.

Accursed creature.

My cat has to be the odd-man-out. Apparently the litter I use is to dusty for His Fluffyness, so he comes to watch me pour it, then tries out the litter box about 5 minutes later.

When my cats were declawed, we couldn't use regular litter for a couple weeks until they healed. We switched to the paper-pellet litter and little girly did not like that (we also tried shredded newspaper but that didn't go over well, either). She'd pee in the box but took to pooping in the hallway near my bedroom door (it's around a corner and therefore darker and less visible than the main hallway). Once we switched back to their regular litter, she went back to her box.

(Thankfully we did not discover this the hard way. She left it right next to the wall so we never stepped on it. Considerate little thing, she was. :p)

Not about poop but cat puking.
While in highschool the family cat seemed to like me most. He would sleep with me each night. If he felt the need to puke he would run to my sisters room and puke on her bed while she was sleeping, then come back to me and snuggle up.

Good kitty!

The dog equivalent is pooping on the small piece of yet-unmowed lawn just after you've cleared the lawn of droppings and mowed half of it.

Always the unmowed side. Sigh.

My cat's discovered for some odd reason that he can clean his own litterbox.... I'll walk into the room with the litterbox and it's "pretty much" clean -- but all around it are all the waste products covered in litter (and solid "balls") that he's kicked out.

The past few days he's managed to knock the litter scoop down, and put them close to the scoop! (I going to assume he's playing with the objects, and they just happen to of been last played with at the same location -- as he also knocks balls/etc in that same general area). But still.... to someone looking in from the outside, it looks like he's cleaning his own litterbox too

Mine'll do that when I start scooping. I'm like, "What, you can't wait TWO MINUTES for me to finish this before you come mess it up again? You've had all this time beforehand to go and just NOW you decide it's time?"

Everytime I clean my cat's litterbox, he takes a nap in it.... When he wakes up he usually makes the whole house dirty, which is really a pain in the a** if I have visitors or my parents come over :(

Riley is also a brandwh*re when it comes to litter....he LOVES Feline Pine. ( he will tolerate lesser brands, but he makes a bigger mess)

Our cat is very curious. He doesn't try to get IN the litter box, but he definitely must be in the room. If he hears me changing the box (or, right now, my husband, since I'm not supposed to until after the baby is born), he comes tearing through the house to be in the room and check it out. Doesn't even go in the box when it's done, just wanders away.

Our cat is weird. He also refuses to let Hubby or I go into the bathroom without him -- for anything. He sits at our feet when we're brushing out teeth, or on the mat "guarding" when we're in the shower. When I'm in the bath, he'll sit on the edge and talk to me. He's an odd one but we love him. (He does NOT do this in the children's bathroom or when they are using our bathroom. Only when it's Hubby or me).

Morgan has to be with me if I am in the downstairs bathroom....she rams her head against the door til I open it.

Riley watches me when I take a bath......its creepy......

My boy likes to get in the tub after someone gets out of the shower; he also likes to go in when it's dry. We usually keep the bathroom door closed, but if you open it, he will often come running and run right into the tub. Then he just...sits there.... When he was a kitten we would turn on the water a little bit and he would try to catch it before it went down the drain.

Casey has been known to take naps in his litterbox. I'm starting to suspect he was dropped on his head as a baby.

He also has to 'help' in the bathroom. I can't walk in there without him following.

We did have a cat in the past that would sit on the bathroom counter while you were in the shower. Once she thought you'd been in there long enough, she'd start calling for you, then had to 'dry' your ankles when you got out of the shower.

Casey now has respect for the bathtub. He'll jump in there now, but only once he's certain it's dry. When I first got him, he'd leap in there blindly, and the tub drained V...E...R....Y slowly. 12-week old kittens & 3-4 inches of water in a tub are not a good mix. He did that twice, and he still looks before he leaps (at least into the bathtub).

Louis also did that once: he jumped in the shower, while I was take one  He didn't really mind it though.... When it's very hot in the summer he likes to be splashed with water, but if a single drop falls on his head, he's suddenly scared of water

My rat has developed a brilliant climbing technique, he keeps hold with his feet, grabs on with his teeth, and lifts himself up, without damaging or marking the clothing.

Also, my mothers cat is ENTIRELY aware of exactly what she is doing and totally understands english, I mean totally.

Bertie, my 3 month old kitten, is usually in the litter tray waiting before I have even started pouring the fresh litter in.

Alfie, our six month old, usually waits until I have done and then goes. Although i did get a surprise last week when he decided to go in the open bag of litter rather than the tray! I'm not allowed to get angry with him tho as he has high blood pressure (according to the vet) and is going tomorrow to have his bits chopped off. No wonder he is stressed really.

My older cat does the same thing, except that she will purr at me as I'm cleaning the box out. Apparently, I'm a good human for doing this...
