The program, not the chap in a spangly leotard.

My DH is trying to find out if there is a way to turn some photos in pdf, back into jpeg or gif format.Does anyone have any ideas?

I found some programs that might help you, on Google: :)

Also depending on what type of graphics program he is using he may be able to open the PDF directly in that and convert it into whatever type of format is needed. I know that Photoshop supports this as well as illustrator (I'm not sure about others though).

Canadagirl is right though. There are a number of programs that you can download and they act like a printer. You install the program and it will list as a printer, with the PDF open you print it using the conversion program and select the format that you want. I have done this converting a PDF into a TIFF so I could convert it back to a OCR'd PDF with a searchable text index.

Acrobat Reader 7 has a camera icon in the toolbar. Click it, drag a rectangle, and it copies that to the clipboard. Use any graphics app (even MS Paint), make a new canvas, paste, and save as jpg.

I believe this works more like a screen capture, in that the image quality of what you end up with may not be as good as that of the original graphic. But then, a "print to jpg" app probably doesn't do any different.
