My mom called me this morning to tell me my high school boyfriend died yesterday.
It's so incredibly unbelievable. The man was only 24. Just barely out of college and just getting started. He was driving home from work last night, hit a patch of black ice and crashed. He died on the scene.
I hadn't seen him since we were 19, but we did the obligatory "Happy Birthday, hope all is well" Facebook messages. He was my first boyfriend and a HUGE part of my life in late high school.
He was one of those guys who could make friends with anyone, always was able to make people laugh. He was just a good, fun-loving guy.
It's a damn shame...
