Last night, we found out that my cousin's son was critically injured in a snowmobile accident in Northern Indiana. He has been declared brain dead, and we found out today that his spinal cord was severed. He is only 31 years old and has a wife and two small daughters. My cousin had to fly in from New Mexico, and was stranded all day in Atlanta due to high winds. Fortunately, a soldier on his way home to South Bend has been staying by her side and has talked to my Aunt every time she calls my cousin's cell phone. She is in really bad shape. They are keeping her son on life support until she is able to get to the hospital and spend some time with him. Sometime tonight or tomorrow they will be removing him from life support. These relatives are on my Dad's side of the family and we have several deaths in that part of the family over the last few years. Please keep my Aunt and Uncle and my cousin in your prayers.

I pass along sympathies to the family. It's terrible to go thru this at Christmas, but it is important to remember that we not only have support from our family during this time, but all of CS is behind you and will be there shall you need anything.
Drop me a PM if you need it and I'll do the best I can. My help can't bring the man back to his family and children, but I can hope to comfort you as best I can.
We're here if you need it

Update - My cousin was finally able to get out of Atlanta early this morning and was able to spend some time with her son. Life support was stopped at 2:30 this afternoon and he passed away shortly after 3:00. The family appreciates all of the good thoughts and prayers and the assistance of the soldier that helped her while stranded. Thanks to all of you.

That's so sad. I'll be thinking of you and your family.
