This past week has just been ridiculous. First, I got news that my old high school boyfriend passed away (my only boyfriend aside from my current SO). Luckily I was able to Greyhound in right in time for the funeral.

This past Monday, my aunt and uncle went into surgery. My aunt has polycystic kidney disease and needed a kidney transplant. My uncle was a perfect match. We spent nearly 15 hours in the hospital on Monday as the surgery went on. Thank God, both are doing fine, my aunt's kidney is working (yay for pee!) and my uncle is going to be able to come home today or early tomorrow. :)

My SO was going to drive in on Christmas Eve for a few days to spend Christmas with our families and meet up with some friends, but our cat got really sit, throwing up all day Saturday and not eating for the rest of Saturday and all day Sunday and Monday. Poor guy is just now getting back to normal, but he's still throwing up a little bit. So the SO isn't going to come up. First Christmas in five years we haven't been together. :( I'm going back on Saturday, but it still sucks. It's been nearly two years since we've been separated this long and it's killing me. I love being with my family but I miss him like crazy.

*sigh* Hope everyone else's Christmas' are going much smoother than mine.

Happy Holiday's :)

Thanks Cat :)

Things are getting better since we know that my aunt's new kidney is working and my uncle is doing amazingly well and going home really soon. It's all just so much right now, and all landing at this time of year.

Just craziness.

Sorry to hear that things have kept piling on, though thankfully it looks like you're getting to the light at the end of the tunnel. Still, sometimes I wish the whole "disasters comes in threes" bit were true, just so that after the third fiasco you could have the relief of knowing that everything was gonna be hunky dory for a while. Anyway, hang in the next few days.
