I got a Chia Pet as a retirement gift from a friend of mine when I retired from the military earlier this year. It's a "Chia Head'. I haven't opened it yet but I can't wait...lol.
Having a Chia Pet is like a guilty pleasure. You know everybody likes it but are too ashamed to admit it. Kind of like being into Yanni or Engelbert Humperdinck-that kind of thing...lol.

Yup! That's one tacky gift that is still kind of cool in my eyes!

I thought about getting my mom the Chia herb garden... but she's made her own little herb garden using the old county-issued recycling buckets that are clearly labeled "don't use these for any other purpose under pain of death" or something like that. (They don't use them anymore; they got smart and realized it's easier and cheaper to just let people get their own trash can for recycling and also encourages more people to actually do it if they don't have to separate it all and lug 5 buckets down the driveway...)
I like the Tweety Bird one :)

Last year I got a Chia Donkey from Shrek for my lil brudder (not really, but feels like it) who goes by the name... Donkeh. :D
It was almost difficult to find, left it kinda late, didn't know I'd be getting down to see him, but when we got to, I had to find one, thankfully there was one left!
