Hey all, I'm back with more teenage drama! But not depressing this time!
After some asking around, I found out that a girl I work with is single. Bonus points because this particular girl is a friend of my family, my cousins, to be more specific. We even went camping together one time when we were little and didn't even know it!
Anyway, I'm going to ask her out tomorrow. The last two girls I asked out turned me down, so I'm going to need everyone's support and well-wishing for this one!
And now, a Dean Martin classic:
When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie
That's amore'
When the world seems to shine like you've had too much wine
That's amore'
Bells will ring ting-a-ling-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a-ling
And you'll sing "Vita bella"
Hearts will play tippy-tippy-tay, tippy-tippy-tay
Like a gay tarantella

Good luck!
(You might want to refrain from singing to her...:p)

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie
That's a'painful!
When you get shot in the head while smoking in bed,
That's a'painful!
.....EQ help me out, I don't think we finished messing with this song.

I'll tell you what I tell everyone else;
Do Not Date Your Co-Workers. It leads to nothing but trouble.

I agree with EQ, but I learned the hard way. Most likely, if you break up, the bosses will put you two together just because. It's happened to me. Not fun.

Meh. I'll take my chances.

Double ditto!! My dad used to have a old crude saying that went something like 'Don't get your meat and your bread in the same place' or 'Don't dip your pen in the company inkwell." meaning that you just don't date or have casual carnal fun with coworkers. If it didn't work it was going to be awkward and messy to work with that person. It's the afterwards that is imbued with a special kind of awkward suckage. Potential for drama at work and possible embarrassment is high too.

Just remember, if, or maybe when, this co-worker rips your heart out and stomps on it in stiletto heels, you'll still have to see her every day at work.
Unless you're prepared to find a new job if/when it happens.
I've dated coworkers before. I don't think I will do it again.

Or, as Lil Bunny put it, "Don't shit where you eat."

I agree, dating coworkers can be tricky.
I've done it and it worked out well. But then, by the time we broke we were no longer working together...
My advice: be careful...

However, to counter the naysayers...
I met my Other Half while working with him. We were in real estate, started dating, and ended up leaving real estate. Four and a half years later, we're still together, and discussing marriage.
Be careful, go slowly, and don't get too serious too quickly.

Also to be said:
"Dont sh!t where you eat."
Yeah, that sounds incredibly nasty though.. LOL.
I say Good Luck. Maybe she'll be Mrs. Gawdzillers one day. :D:lol::roll::p

Dating coworkers can be tricky, but it's not always a negative thing. Sometimes it does work out.
I have worked with at least 3 couples who were coworkers when they started dating, and they are all still together...married with children. (One of the couples were actually married to others at the time when they met, and they divorced their spouses and married each other about 20 years ago.)

Got her number, and I've tried to call her to officially ask her out (I'm taking it super slow, to be safe), but she's not answering.
Also, I appreciate everyone's warnings, but this is only a part-time job. I only work two days a week, and sometimes she's not there on those two days. In fact, I'd rather have a girl from work who I don't have to see every day than a girl from school (like my ex), who I'm stuck with in class all week.

UPDATE:
She said she's "talking to someone" right now. Whatever the hell that means. Long story short, she's not going out with me.
FUCK.
