NASSAU (Reuters) - The teenage son of actor John Travolta died suddenly on Friday during a family vacation in the Bahamas, according to the family's lawyer.
Jett Travolta, 16, suffered a seizure at his family's vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island, attorney Michael Ossi said.
Attempts were made to revive him, but he died at the scene, Ossi said.
Jett, who had a history of seizures, was the eldest child of Travolta and his wife, actress Kelly Preston. They also have a daughter, Ella Blue, who was born in 2000.

Got it in one Queen. I've seen some close calls before but damn...I think it would kill me to know one of my kids died like that.

Well yes he did, but it doesn't appear that was at fault here. He happened to have Kawasaki Disease. He also died from having a seizure. The news article says he hit his head. I'm not sure if the seizure itself was terminal, or the blunt trauma caused during it caused death.

There is nothing more painful for a parent than having to bury a child. My heart goes out to the Travoltas

He had Kawasaki disease as a small child and it left him with a seizure disorder, so, while the Kawasaki itself was probably not fatal nor the exact cause of his death, it was possibly a contributing factor.
We won't know until an autopsy is done, so it's probably best to just focus on the fact that a beautiful 16 year old boy has died, and not get into speculation as to how it happened, since we are not medical experts.
