Tonight's meal was a ham and pepper-jack on wheat, buttered and fried, with a side of frozen green beans stir-fried in the same pan and a bottle of wheat beer from Kansas City. (Boulevard--damn good stuff.)
It's tasty as hell, has some trace of nutritional value, and it's hella cheap and easy to whip up at 3 AM when any other normal sod would be in bed.
That I find this remarkable is a sign that I really am within sight of rock bottom and I need to find a girlfriend fuckin' quick. (Sighs, sets to working on beer...)
What does anyone else do for late-night/life sucks kinds of eats/drinks? Discuss.

I usually have a bag of dorritos on hand, from making my lunches.
that or rice. even though rice takes me almost 45 minutes to make the way i like it.

I have a thing for making my own nachos, tossing whatever veggies I have onto them. (chickpeas actually are pretty good on nachos)
I also really like pasta with random veggies chucked in, and a little olive oil to coat it all.

I'm ashamed to say, for me, nothing beats good ole Taco Bell for those late night moments. :(

Usually when I get hungry late(2 am, when I'm up that late:roll: ) at night I end up going to this local gas station that has the BEST chicken and biscuits:D

I get home from work between midnight and 1am- I either eat left overs if there are any or I have a Totinos cheese pizza. Occasionally, if I'm feeling particularly not tired after work I'll make spaghetti or alfredo.

I typically get off about 11:30. By the time I get home, hubby's asleep, so I don't want to bang around a lot in the kitchen and wake him, so I'll nuke some leftovers, or make a pbj sandwitch, or slice up an apple and dip in peanut butter (oh, how I love the peanut butter)
Some nights I just don't eat anything and snack on my way out the door to the barn.
