View Full Version : No Reply Button?

All of a sudden I have no way to reply to threads.

In the past when I've had board issues it's always been because of Zone Alarm being over protective- so, I shut it all down. Yet, still I do not see the reply button.

Every other button and feature seems to be perfectly normal.

Oh, I've also shut down/disallowed Java recently. But the board was fine for some time after that and the other buttons work so, not sure it matters?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT:
Obviously my EDIT button works- lol.
I'm currently using the QUOTE button and deleting the quotes to reply to threads.

I'm seeing all the buttons normally. Do me a favor, and attach a screenshot of your browser at the bottom of a post/thread? PM me with it if you wish. I just need to see it. I can't even visualize a potential cause right now.

In case you don't know, an easy/free way to do a screen shot (on Windows): Alt-Printscreen does the capture. Open up MS Paint, and hit Edit->Paste. From there, you can save it as you see fit, etc.

Ok- here ya go:

PS: there is usually one on the same side at the top also- but not anymore.
PS Part Deux: I am also a Mod on another vBulletin site and all my standard buttons are still there and working correctly on it. Dunno if that helps.
Another PS: For whatever reason I also have IE8 Beta now. I've tried to go back to IE7 but it won't let me because I have a "newer version of the software installed".

I'll admit it, I was hoping it was something easy. Of course, it wasn't :)

Raps, when you handed out badges today, is there any chance that NightAngel's permissions got messed up, and need to be reset, maybe?

Maybe she should try Google Chrome or Firefox...

Unlikely - it fouled up after doing over a thousand, well after reading NA's information.

I assume you've done the refresh from server thing? I think it's shift F5.

Have you tried highlighting the area with your mouse?

Ok, sorry guys. After I posted all this I had some other issues arise with my computer. This may have just been the first sign of a larger problem on my end.

My hubby is a computer tech and is going to be doing some work on my 'puter today.

I just can't figure out why one VB board is fine and this one isn't. Doesn't make sense to me. But then, this is why I married a tech, so I wouldn't HAVE to know.

Thanks and sorry for the hassle.
