i Promised Tech Angel that i would keep you guys informed of how she is doing. Ill keep updating this thread as i receive updates.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is Jenni, and we're sitting in the surgery waiting room. Have I
mentioned how much I heart wireless???
Half hour or less, I'll be going in.
Wish me luck!
Jenni
-------------------------------------------
At ten minutes to 11 they took her back. The doctor said it would be
about thirty minutes before they actually get going.
She stayed very calm and got pretty goofy from the medicine. And yes,
there is a goofier Jen than most of you know.
I will keep you posted on what is going on when.

Hehe the smartass in me was going to ask "and this is different, how?" But, I hope things are going well.

The surgery is done. SHe is awake and talking and moving all parts and
pieces. The surgeon said there was a significant compression which he
relieved and saw an immediate improvement in the flow of the spinal
fluid.
She had a bit of a spinal fluid leak and he repatched it. SHe had
some bruising to the brain from the amount of compression so this
really needed to be done.
She is in the recovery room and will be on her way to the ICU in an
hour or so. more later when I know more and have seen her

Hey gang.
Jenni's mom called a couple of times, and I was finally home. Jenni is doing well. Some illness because of the anesthetic, but they are keeping her pretty much unconcious. She mentioned that Jenni was awake for a minute flopped over and went back to sleep. We both agreed that it was standard Jenni.
So it looks like she'll be heading home (her parents home) Sunday, unless she has an absolutely steller recovery then maybe Saturday. Her mom will be staying with her in the hospital until then.
Jenni's mom is a nurse so we know she is getting the best care possible.

Standard for anyone really. I spent half the day asleep for 3 days straight after my apendectomy. Up, food, sleep.

I'm so relieved everything went well. You rest and take it easy jenny. No overdoing anything now. We can't wait to see you posting on here again. But first you get well rested and recovered. ((((Jenny))))

You know, I was thinking, in the best interests of keeping Jenny healthy, maybe we should have a mod temporarily suspend her ID. Since we know that the posts here tend to make people :headdesk: and that's the last thing our girl needs right now.
Who ever has contact with her send her my wishes. And tell her that cute kitty in the pic wants to give her lots 'o get well kisses.

LL, in Jenni's case excessive sleeping has been a symptom of her condition for some time. Ree and Raps can attest to that from our time together in the CS bus. 15 hours there and I think she was awake long enough to eat and go to the bathroom.
I got a text from Jenni tonight. She's feeling mostly pretty good, except for her neck hurting some (hmm do you suppose a surgeon cutting it open might have something to do with that?). They may actually send her home tomorrow, which means she must be doing really well.
Yay TA and her amazing healing powers.

It sounds like she getting better pretty quickly. I'm glad to here her recovery is going well. I'll bet they'll give her some nice pain meds for when she leaves. :D
