I just woke up from a very strange dream. I have many more to share, I just don't wanna right now. ;)

I was at my parents' house for the winter break, apparently, when I got a phone call from a pizza parlor. The manager started talking to me and I noticed that he sounded like one of those mob guys. Well, he starts telling me that they need me immediately, and that they even have a job for me already. So I ask what it is and he says, "well, first I need you to do a hit for me at *such and such* address, then I need you to deliver a pizza to *such and such other* address."

I wanted the job so bad that I said "fine" and started getting dressed nervously . . . then I said to myself "I don't think I can do a hit" and suddenly my bro tells me that the bushes outside my room are on fire and that he saw a car with 3 guys wearing sunglasses (it was dark out) pull away as it happened.

The dream ended with my bro and I heading outside to put out the flames and me wondering if I was going to survive the night with the mob on my tail!

I shouldn't have eaten chicken tetrazini and a KitKat bar at 10 PM . . .

Please, I can't be the only one . . . share some weird dreams!

I had one reoccuring dream when I was younger that my sister had died
and I would go and get here from the casket and bring her home.
But she couldnt stay home long without dying again so I would have to take her back to the cemetary.
And I would have this dream over and over over the course of a few years when i was around 10-12 .

I also had one where all of my pets died and the ones that were already dead joined them in a parade down my road at midnight. No I'm not crazy. . . . . . I think. . .

Yes I know I'm weird:p

Ok, Sphinxy, as promised!

I used to have this reoccuring dream when I was 7.

It was always dusk, and it always involved the same "characters."

I would walk out of my house and go across the street to my friends' place to wait for her and her family to come home. While I was standing on the sidewalk, a human-sized grasshopper in a tuxedo and the works (tophat, cane) would come hopping by. Then I would take a nap on the curb. When I woke up from my nap, I would be facing the curb and it would suddenly grow a mouth and lick its lips like it wanted to eat me. So I would run behind the big bush in their front yard and hiss at the sidewalk like a snake. Then, I would always hear another hiss . . . from a turantula who also wanted to eat me! So I would run into my friend's family's garage and wait for them. When they came home, I would cry and try to convince them of what happened. They never believed me and would just go inside and leave me. Then . . . the bush, the turantula, the grasshopper, and the curb would all come to the garage and appoligize for scaring me. The end.

Top THAT!

Has anyone ever had a dream that was so silly, that you wondered why you've had it all? Like, I've remembered dreams where I'd be at a stop light, or be hanging around waiting for somebody, or something insignificant as that, but you are still able to pick out very specific parts of the dream, like colors and exact types of cars, or specific clothes. And the next morning I'd remember it perfectly clear. Later that day or in one of the next couple days, that dream would actually happen. I'd actually show up at that stop light, and see those EXACT cars. Or the person I was hanging out with, at the same place as in the dream, was wearing the exact same clothes from the dream. How does this work out? Because I know it's not all similar stuff to the dreams, it is the EXACT SAME thing.

No, but I've had dreams involving what was going on right then. One day I woke up and turned on the TV, but was still tired so I fell asleep again. I ended up having a weird dream about the gameshow that was on. The sounds were in it and everything.

oh the dreams ive had since getting pregnant....... almost nightly, i dream about work....i hate it! and its usually something stupid. one, was a dream where a girl i work with didn't get her way, she stomped around pouting with her arms crossed the rest of the day. it was funny because this girl isn't typically like that. shes always cool calm and collected.

a few weeks ago, i had a dream that me and my fiancee, peter, went to a hotel in vegas, and he meets three girls he knew. we were all sitting down at a table eating dinner, and one of the girls said she was pregnant. when asked who the father was, she said,"its either bob, ryan, or you peter! im pretty sure its you though, peter."

so the next day, i jokingly yelled at my boyfriend. when he got home, i marched up to him and said that if he ever cheats on me and gets another girl pregnant again, ill remove a certain body part. heknew i was joking though.

Sadly, I don't remember any of my dreams. I haven't for the past year or so. It sucks, because I had very active, colorful dreams.

Can stress make you not remember your dreams?

I think it can - I used to remember my dreams all the time, but I haven't for ages. I still remember my first nightmare - I was walking down this really long hall in some sort of castle (I presume it was a castle, because of the stone walls), with suits of armour hanging on the walls. I was looking for my parents, and suddenly the suits of armour came to life and started marching after me. I was only four at the time, so I'd never actually seen a real suit of armour, but subsequent visits to castles freaked me out a bit. :o

Today I dreamed that I woke up and was really late for work. I called work to inform them that I was running late and I was told that someone was called in to cover me and I didn't have to come in that evening.:(

I had a nightmare when I was ten years old that I still remember to this day.

It was the oddest dream I've ever heard of.

All I can remember is being at my Grandma's house (like it was a holiday or something), and all the family was there. For some reason, what looked like a sort of wood-chipper was in the middle of the living room. I remember desperatley trying to keep my uncle from putting my sister into the chipper, and him saying something like "don't worry, she'll just turn into cotton." Then, he throws her in, and instead of gore, a bunch of fluffy cotton comes out of the chipper . . .

To this day, I have yet to figure out what the heck that dream meant . . .

Allthough six years later, I did witness my sister getting hit by a car. Don't worry, she's fine, but maybe it was some sort of premonition? I dunno!!

I've not heard of stress making you dream less...but then my dreams tend to get worse if I am heavily stressed. I dream a lot...an awful lot. My dreams are very vivid and realistic. Half the time I wake up more tired because I feel like I've been running a marathon all night. I've always been this way, and people have told me they thought I was crazy (at least in high school they did).

I'll give two examples. Though, I could fill books-

Once I had a dream where I was going to go swimming. We had an above ground pool, with a deck around the outside...the yard looked exactly like my yard at home- except there were leeches and parasites all in the water and around the backyard; all the vegetation was overgrown, too. Somehow, while I was swimming, they got into my arm and were wriggling around (I could see/feel it under my skin)- until finally they burst out...and made a huge slash in my arm- through muscle and all. In the dream, I tried furiously to hold my arm in one piece...at that point, I woke up clutching my arm to my chest.

Another time I had a really involved dream that ended up with me getting shot in the back...(long dream made short). I felt some pain, and the sensation of blood trickling down my back...I woke up and there was nothing wrong with/wet on my back. Felt fine, if scared, once I was awake.

I've had numerous weird dreams- some involving me saving the world from aliens, or some monsters or other things...some at school, involving work (I hate those, makes me feel like I worked all night!). They are so real...sometimes it's not so bad having such vivid dreams, but really I hate the lack of actual rest that I get...

I've had those "save-the-world" dreams a lot, too. The earliest one I remember was me, my brother, and some strange blonde guy I'd never seen before and have never seen since were fighting, and I quote, because I have remembered this since I was a little kid..."Hitler's Spanish Ninjas". ...I do not know, folks.

Another one I had, it was me and Victoria from the WWE who had to infiltrate this building, plant explosives, and then sneak out so a bunch of guys handling the tech nearby could detonate it. I distinctly remember the two of us swimming across a chanel on our way back and bitching to each other about the guys making us do the hard work while they sat in their heated trailers and pushed a button

There was one where somebody was flying a helicopter and I was hanging out the side of it shooting at people over a warzone, but our copter got shot down. It was weird because when I woke up from that one, I was actually sore as hell for a few hours...

I had an idea once that I may flesh out into a book someday that if you had dreams of a particular type more often than others, then aliens or the government or whoever were training you for that purpose while you slept so as to save time and effort from doing it while you were awake. So if that holds true, I suppose that means I'm some sort of James Bond weapons/explosives specialist. Then again, who's surprised by that?

I have the weirdest dreams EVER...maybe it's years of recreational substance abuse...who knows...the last weirdest one is as follows:

I was standing at a Burger King counter trying to place my order. Well, the order taker was my recent ex b/f whom I had just moved away from. He would not get my order right. He just stood there being the ass that he is, flirting with this little girl that looked about high school aged. I'm standing there just yelling at him to get my order right already when all of a sudden, I hear this hip hop type music start to play...

That's when I notice that the Burger King I am standing in is only half a building. It only has two outside walls and the rest of it opens up into an amphitheatre where the Grammy Awards are taking place. The amphitheatre was horseshoe shaped and it sloped uphill. The surrounding "border" of the amphitheatre was a strip mall on each side and the "stage" was at the bottom of the horseshoe.

So, this hip hop music starts playing and this limo pulls up to the top of the horseshoe and all these dancers hop out of the limo (like clowns out of a clown car) and then Wilbur, the "hip hop" pig (a guy who wears a HUGE pig head for a mask), jumps out and they all start doing this synchronized dance sequence. It seems that Wilbur is trying to pick up the award for Best New Hip Hop Artist. However, Ludacris is there and is not having any of this hip hopping pig bullsh*t! He gets his posse and they start to have a "dance off".

Meantime, I was just standing there, the ex b/f was now making out with the teeny bopper counter girl and I just wanted my freakin' cheeseburger....

my alarm ringing woke me up. I wrote this dream down because it was so freakin' bizarre!!!!!

I have always wondered the same thing! I once had a dream I was on a bus and it crashed into a river and this guy I had never seen before started rescuing us all. Well, the next day at school, I saw him in the hall!!! I was SO weirded out by that. How can I dream about someone I've never met or even seen and then see them the next day? If I didn't have to worry about bills, I wouldn't have a job and I would just spend all day at the library figuring out all the crazy questions I think about from time to time.

I had a dream when I was younger that was not re-occuring, but scared the hell out of me for years - my mom wanted to commit suicide and we were at the mall and they had a "suicide store" and people would go in and lay down on a bed and they'd turn a light on and you would die. My mom said "goodbye" to all of us and then the door shut. I was nearly a teenager before that stopped bothering me.

How can I dream about someone I've never met or even seen and then see them the next day?

I wish I would see the man that I have been dreaming of since I was around 20. I read Indian romance novels. I have about 100 or so now. I keep dreaming of this tall, dark skinned man. I can only see about half way up his face, usually to the nose. I never see his eyes. He has long black hair and is usually very muscular. I have met him on the road once but it is usually while sitting under a tree. He is always sitting behind me stroking my hair and saying something. I always wake up with a smile on my face and feeling very content, almost satisfied.

I don't know who this is, but would love to meet him one day.

Also, I have this other dream of me beating the shit out of my mother. I was adopted and it was less than pleasant. It was a forced adoption by the state. I was severely malnourished and neglected. I had rickets at age 2 and was severely underweight. I guess it is surpressed feelings towards my bio-mom, because I would never hurt my adoptive mother.
