Here's a strange question...
what kinda hot dogs/bun to they use. I LOVE movie theater hot dogs, i dunno if they taste so good b/c the brand or the way they're cooked...
if you guys know, i'd love you forever.

When I worked for a minor league baseball team, I believed that we just used your every day normal kind of buns. I think what made them different is that they sat in the steamer thingy for long enough that they weren't dry.

Oh, yes. The bun steamer.
My parents had one for the stove top when I was a kid. It was a double seated pan- you put just a little water in the bottom of the big one and then set the bun rack inside it.
Great buns.
Yes... I can see where this could go....

I really think the main things about movie theatre hot dogs is the bun steamer and the hot dog roller. I don't know why, but things that take longer to cook usually taste better in my opinion.
oh bun steamer yeah thats what we use, i thought they meant for hot dogs lol
we use a hot dog roller too

so then, the question is, how do i duplicate the roller, sounds like my veggie steamer will work to warm the "nice" buns

Dunno, but fair warning: the roller unit I used to have to deal with at 7-11 was a :censored: to clean.

Steamed hot dogs are good, but they can never beat a grilled all beef Dodger dog
