Airport and highway drivers

Man, those semi drivers have no regard for the lanes that they take up. Yeah, I know they have a deadline to make, but Jesus H. Christ you'd think they'd know how to drive sanely. My friend picked me up from KBGR, and we got onto SR 222, which was fine, but getting onto 95 south, was hell. This big rig with Massachusetts plates comes BARELLING towards us. Luckily, my friend has jedi reflexes and we got out of there. The driver flipped the bird, and sped off.

Down 1A we went to Ellsworth. the rest of the way was nice.

Mass. drivers are insane. Completely nutters. I once, in Boston, was trying to turn left across two lanes of oncoming traffic. I had the light. I got halfway across when the lane I hadn't yet entered decided to cut me off and strand me in the middle of the other lane for an entire cycle of the lights until I got the green again.

I try to avoid the state. It's a self-preservation instinct. :P

And I thought New Jersey drivers were bad. I went to the movies tonight and had to deal with the Jersey slide a few times. The slide being when someone in the far left lane realizes they need to be getting off the road at the rapidly approaching exit and they put on their right blinker. This would be fine except they then fly across all lanes of traffic and cut off anyone attempting to use the exit before them.

I thought we had it bad (thanks to all the drunk drivers and uninsureds) here in Luuuuuuuuuuziana at 1200-1500/year...After all, we (allegedly) have one of the ten most dangerous intersections in the nation about 10 minutes from my house >_< *checks google* yup. Heh. I when I used to live in Michigan I was paying $134 a month just for minimum coverage a Chevy Astro that was ten years old! :eek:

When I moved to Indiana that plunged down to only $35 dollars a month.

My insurance is a joke....period. I pay out the wazoo for a Neon that's over 10 years old.

My insurance company has been known to drop people just for speeding tickets or other moving violations, even if all you get is a ticket and lose a couple of points.

I have heard of insurance companies dropping people over DUIs, which I am not surprised about and really wouldn't contest that....but two moving violations in one year?

reminds me i was driving on 91 north and it split. last possible second some jerk flies by me on the right and cuts me off, (there was no lane-it just ended) and as he took the next exit, had the balls to flip ME off. WTF

BTW CT drivers suck as well.

Hey, not all of us Massholes are insane...I'm pretty good at not killing people when I drive.

But unfortunately the other 99.995% of the state isn't, as far as I know.

I know this from personal experience. None of them can drive...and when they come down here, they're even worse.

Doesn't the MA Driver's Handbook refer to other drivers as "The Opposition"? :p That's what I was told by the natives when I was traveling there regularly.

Could be worse - here in the Tundra, there's one big highway and with a 100kmh limit, it's a daily surprise occurrence to find an auto-driving car* doing 60-80 in the left lane.

Gawd help them if (eventually) they get to T.O. - they will either get run over or pulled over pretty quick

I'm guessing by that you mean you had a green arrow to turn left, which would mean that the guy going straight ran a red light to do it. Nice.

Another problem is people who turn left on a green circle (not an arrow, like you had) and expect people going straight and right to yield to them. I've had to deal with a lot of that. It gets old.

The worst I've seen, is on 128 in Wakefield. At that little rotary at 129, you have dumbasses who don;t know where teh fuck they're going

I know. I live in North Reading and have friends in Wakefield. The biggest problem I have at that rotary is people who don't get who has the right of way.

In Massachusetts and most places, it's ALWAYS the people in a rotary who have the right of way (according to state law) and handy yield signs are even provided for the folks entering this particular one (in case they forget).

Doesn't make any difference. People just fly in without looking out for the traffic that has the right of way. I guess they think that if they are getting off at the next exit they can just hug the edge and the law doesn't apply to them. Of course, that's just a theory; I've given up trying to figure out what goes through folks tiny little brains when they ignore a yield sign.

I swear they'll have to put stop signs up just to get people to slow down and freaking look.

I hate that rotary. :(
