Free food!!?

Lately, I have begun to love McDonalds. The one here by my house keeps giving me free food. The other day, my daughter and I was going to an appointment, and stopped by McDonalds. We ordered 4 sandwiches, two OJ's, and two hashbrowns. Well when we got to the window, the lady handed us out food and said that the hashbrowns would be out in a minute. We pulled off to the side and waited. I checked the back and there were two hashbrowns already there. I checked the receipt and there was only two hashbrowns there. In the end they brought out two hot hashbrowns and we left.

Yesterday, I went back and they ended up giving me an OJ. I didn't order one and it wasn't on the receipt. When she handed me the food she handed me the OJ and I just drove off. I know that I should have said something and not taken the food but when your hungry and you love OJ...

Has anyone else here gotten free food that you didn't order? Did you keep it or did you give it back??

at one point my college group was going to a dunkin donuts after our meeting every week and sometimes we'd get free donuts
we always kept it, we're hungry poor college students and we didnt ask for it :p

I think the last time anything like that happened to me, the Taco Bell that I go to occasionally for lunch goofed up my order, and when I checked my bag and pointed out the error, rather than take the other food back, they had me keep it and gave me the originally requested order.

I gave the extra food to a coworker.

When I was in 6th form (for those not in the UK, that's the last two years of school, 16-18yrs, but I digress) my buddy Richard worked in McDonald's. It was a common occurence to go and visit him in the evenings and be given many burgers.

The last three times I have gone out for fast food, I have gotten free stuff for no apperent reason at all.

McDonald's = An extra thing of large fries
Subway = Three extra cookies with my order of a dozen
Chck-fil-A = An extra thing of large waffle fries

I have no idea why I was given free food. :confused: My husband told me it was the "cute factor" meaning the person behind the counter thought I was cute and threw in free stuff. I just gave him my :rolleyes: look.

I love getting free food. Sometimes if you go to Dunkin Donuts really really late at night, they will give you a bunch of free ones since they are just going to throw the old ones out. Lately at McDonalds, if I have to wait, they've been giving me a few free apple pies. I love it. Soooo good.

The take-out chinese food place that I order from almost always throws in an extra appetizer and they waive the delivery charge.

I went to Burger King once, and got an extra patty on my Whopper.

Of course, the next time I went there, I got a Whopper instead of a Double Stacker, and it was stone cold. :cry:

One time I was eating at a McDonald's and they were passing around free "Snack Wraps." And on a few occasions I've gotten an extra McNugget, which is a "good" goof in my opinion. Also, there was a bakery near my house that I used to walk up to on Sunday mornings when I was little. The family that owned it thought I was cute for getting all those donuts for my family and would usually give me a free cinnamon roll or something. That's how I put on so much weight!!! (Hey, I'm always looking for an excuse) :lol:
