... but I'm not sure if I could.
I've currently got a Pentium 4 processor, and was wondering if it's possible to swap it for a dual-core processor without getting a new motherboard. I'm not sure what kind of board it is, but it's at least two years old. If anyone can tell me where to find the information, I'll post it.
If I can't swap out the chip, then I'll probably end up getting a new computer.
If anyone can tell me if it's possible, let me know, or if you need more information, tell me what and where to find it, I'll figure out how.

Thanks in advance!

Short answer NO, the architecture is totally different as it power requirements. I wouldn't waste my time trying to upgrade that computer buy a newer one.
