My bro got a new kitten. he's 6 wks old, orange tabby and playful as hell but he is nameless. He was the runt and the previous owners called him Wyatt but we're not fond of it. Our other cats are named Angra Mainyu(sp?), Zarathustra, and Aeris. We've had other cats, who either ran away or died, named Raystlin, Spenta Mainyu, Vegeta, Yuna, Rikku, and Marrin. See a theme here? We're at a loss.
so far we've come up with:
Cloud
Sephiroth
John(the boy's choice)
Jake(a friend's pick)
Vladimir(mine)
Edgar(also mine)
but we can't agree and my bro won't choose one for the little guy. any suggestions out there???:D

Agreed. I can't name a critter without at least seeing it first. ;)

My uncle has an orange tabby named Tommy. He's gotta weigh over 20 pounds by now. He has to squeeze himself under the bed...

OK, if you're going to go with a Final Fantasy theme, my list is as follows:
Tidus (pronounced Tie-dus)
Shuyin
Wakka
Vaan
Kimahri (well, it is a cat!)
Auron
Balthier
Basch

I will most definitely get some pics up as soon as I find my micro SD adapter.
a bit off topic: Did you all know that the word "definitely" is the most misspelled word in the english language. found that out earlier:D

If you want to go with a Persian theme, here are some of my suggestions:
Armaiti
Atar
Mithra
Saoshyant
Sroasha
Vohu Manah

Our calico was named Cassandra after a character in Cats (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cats_(musical)).

Vladimir
I like that one, but this is coming from the girl that was so lazy with her last cat he ended up named Baby.

How defined are the stripes? I keep waiting for the perfect kitty to name Hobbes. :D
Instead of Edgar, my sister's friend named theirs Edgrr. lol
And then the geek-kitty name, Schrodinger.

We have 3 orange Tabby's:
Little Tshits (the runt)
Popkorn
Azzaphael
and Garfield
So here's me running around in the evening hollering for them at feeding time:
"Tshitsy, Pops, Assy!!! Come heeere."
Meh, the neighbors think I'm nuts anyway. *shrugs*
