What's everyone want for Christmas? I know some of us don't celebrate (me trying to be one of those that doesn't - but I still get all nostalgic)
And, if you don't celebrate, what do you do during this season? What do you celebrate?
Me - my family lives 600 miles in either direction, so I will probably be working on Xmas. About two weeks before Xmas, I used to traditionally rent movies - the same one's every year - The Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, Trading Places and Scrooged. While I played them I baked my ass off! I mean baked some serioud amount of homemade cookies. I would bake 4 different kinds of cookies, make bourbon balls and usually brownies. I would make little care packages and give them to various folks - family, friends, work. I really want to do that again this year. I don't know if I'll have the time.
If I were to have a gift wish list - I need an IPod or an MP3 Player or a Digital Camera, a printer/scanner/copier/fax thingy would be nice too.
Anyway...I guess I have mixed emotions regarding Xmas, sometimes I still feel that little kid inside of me and other times I am aloof.

hmm....i was thinking about asking for things that i need, more than want. i could use some more cooking things. pots and pans, and cookie sheets. i coud use more towels. i wouldn't mind getting a few baby things. the less i have to buy mysef, the easier it is. i could use new curtains....
what i want, though, is Pirates of the Caribbean 2, Ice Age 2, the rest of the Simpsons season dvds, the rest of the South Park season dvds, a couple games for my DS Lite, Kingdom Hearts 2.....the list can go on, but thats not what im asking for.

What I need: New pots and pans, dishes, glasses, silverwear, washer and dryer (the one without the agitator), clothes for the kids, a new dining room table, sofa and chair, and probably a lot more that I can't think of right now.
What I want: The new PS3 with about 10 games, MP3 player, computer, world peace, a new 61" plasma, HDTV television (for hubby) with surround stereo sound, the winning powerball ticket ($200 mil), a new van, a new 6 bedroom house for about $600.00 a month, and no bills at the end of Christmas.
See, I don't want much. http://pdhomes.net/music/isleofjersey/graphics/eyebrows.gif

What I want for Christmas I'm getting- hopefully even before Christmas but we'll see. My hubby is going to upgrade the computer for me. Right now it's an 850 processor and 385MB RAM but it's going to a 2.5 with 512MB RAM! Eventually, I'd like at least 1GB RAM but 512 is definately an improvement!
YEA!!! :D
PS~ I actually celebrate Yule but the rest of my family celebrates Christmas. Our compromise is basically having a regular Christmas on Yule.

I saw a Celtic engagement ring that I would love to have, but my husband says he already bought me an engagement ring. So, ask me again! :p

other than that I really don't want anything, I'm kinda still at war with the family for killing the dog so they could get a suede couch and new carpet. (I say killing because other than peeing in the house, something he head done for 10 years, there was nothing wrong with him that justified euthanasia)
I would really like to have my car paid off and about $1500 US to move with, and a mild winter so I can make it accross the rockies before april

3. 360
4. Corvette
5. Shelby Cobra
Realistically:
1. Jagr jersey
2. Call of Duty 3 for my xbox(unless of course a 360 is possible...)

What I would Like;
1) A horse. This has been top of the list for 30 years, and it still doesn't look like one is ever going to show up.
2) A pink suede laptop bag. i am sick to death of black ballistic nylon, like everybody else's, and I am Not Going To Take It Anymore.
3) An ipod or some other MP3 player.
What I will Actually Get:
1) A box of chocs from the Sprog (chosen by DH, so cheap)
2) An ugly item of clothing from his mum, even though we said 23456285 times we are not buying presents for the adults this year, because we are so broke, so please don't buy anything for us.
3) That's all, folks.

I don't want anything...I just want Christmas to hurry up and get here so I can give everyone else the presents I've got for them and see the looks on their faces! God, I got such great stuff for everyone this year and it's AGONIZING having to sit on them for another month! I just want to give everyone their presents NOW!

Oh oh! Me next!
I have already sat on Santa's lap (aka Dad, and I kinda actually just sat in the chair next to him) and asked for a laptop. That's all I want and all I need. As a college student I need portability! 2 Christmases ago I got a lovely LCD screen for my desktop and because of the travelling to and from school (I go to school and hour away), it's been bumped and banged. A laptop just makes more sense.
The father has already said that this is managable! :D I'm looking at an HP V6000T. Does anybody know if HP is good? This is what I prefer.

2) Black 30 gig video iPod

4) Motorola Razr phone
...but I know I won't be getting one of those. However, I wouldn't mind getting what I need:
1) Some really nice, warm hoodies
2) A couple of pairs of nice blue jeans
3) Bookcase
4) Fluffy, dark-coloured bath sheets (The ones that are about 6 foot by 4 foot)
5) Chapters gift certificate (I need to fill up that bookcase somehow!)

Twilight Princess?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!!?!???? Is that some nickname for Laura?
Last year at this time, I was working a temp job that was day-to-day... I was fond of saying to anyone who would listen, "All I want for Christmas is to know for sure where I'll be working tomorrow." The company actually came through....
So... thinking I might be on a holiday season roll...
All I want for Christmas is to meet a woman who isn't totally demented.

I've always got lists of books and DVDs I'd like... but really, this year I'd just like some cash to help pay for a trip to visit my girl in Pittsburgh.

What I want is a Edlebrock intake manifold for a Ford 429 set up for a super charger, four link rear suspension for a 1970 Torino, an english wheel of my very own, and some Micky Thompson TA for Torino.
What I'll really want is a clean bill of health for my wife, everything else is gravy.

I already know what I'm getting. Nobody likes to suprise me anymore.LOL
Lets see:
From my parents: Lots of clothes and shoes, a Ralph Lauren bag, two coach bags and a Kathy Van Zeeland bag. (I'm obsessed with purses) and a queen sized mattress.
From best friend #1: The new Dior perfume that I absolutely love.
From best friend #2: A Tiffany's necklace
From the boyfriend: Sony digital camera (the red one) or a Louis Vuitton bag- he's not sure yet.
From my uncle: A sony vaio laptop that he actually got for me last night.
From my aunt: The pair of red seahorses that I really want to add to my seahorse tank- (yes, real seahorses- I have 3 right now)
Call me spoiled, but I usually pay for everything for myself so this is gonna be a really good x-mas. WOO HOO!!
PS. I also give amazing presents to everyone so were all kinda even at this point.

Need:
--job
--money
--apartment
--Amazon to let me sell toys again so I can get this inventory out of here and make some money
--Ebay buyers to find my listings and get into huge bidding wars
Unrealistic:
--working proton pack (I know, it's completely impossible tech, but a geek can dream, can't she?)
--winning lottery numbers for the next 10 years
--guaranteed unit in a firehouse in Arlington that's being converted into condos (very cool building and it doesn't seem that they're changing the exterior much)
Better shot at getting:
--Wii and Twilight Princess (or depending on what my mom thinks I should be wanting, that may be unrealistic as well)
--electronics kits for the replica proton pack I'm building (yeah they're a bit pricey, but the guy who builds them knows exactly what he's doing whereas I do not)
I did already get a purse from my mom that is actually pretty cool. I don't really need any more clothes or shoes (she seems to think that I need 2,345 pairs...I have one pair of paratrooper boots that could double as dress boots in a pinch, one pair of nice boots, one pair of sneakers and tabi shoes...that's enough for me).

That's exactly what I need too - I hope we get 'em!
Anyway, I already got my gift - I was given an arcade machine, a Donkey Kong Junior.
It's in rough shape, and had some problems that a working used replacement power supply fixed. Now, mechanically, it works pretty good. It's just brushing up on my woodworking skills and repairing/repainting the case that I have to do. Probably the hardest part will be to make a back panel for it. When I get working again, I can buy almost all the replacement parts except for that.
Maybe I'll have it look good enough that I can move it from the basement...but I think my wife'll have a few things to say about that. :D

I also want:
Dawn Of War (Damn I love this game!!! Uber brutality with big men in armour.)
Cars DVD, Mythbusters DVD (can't get Discovery where I live and I'm missing my dose of those two)
That 20Q thing
A big snuggly blanket
and that watch I saw that has interchangeable straps and bezels.
Yay!!
