This story brought to you by one of my morning stock cohorts:

His daughter is a middle school cheerleader. The cheerleaders and their parents organized a big rummage sale at one of the junior highs in town to raise funds for cheerleader camp for the girls. At the end of the sale, all the unsold items were donated to a local non-profit for sale in their thrift shop.

It was nearing the end of the sale, and co-worker was helping the people from the non-profit load stuff on their truck. A woman and her teenage daughter pulled up in a rusty, beat-up car, parked on the street behind a 2007 Saturn Something-Or-Other, and went inside the school to browse the rummage sale.

They returned some time later and the daughter took the wheel. She had her temps and was going to practice driving. She went to pull out into the street, and ended up bashing into the Saturn and putting a pretty big dent in it.

She kept going but somebody saw the accident happen and got the car stopped while somebody else called the police.

While the police were dealing the the mother, the daughter and their accident, the mother was overheard saying to the daughter "You should've just took off!", repeatedly and in varying levels of volume.

Yeah, 'cause hit and run is soooo much better than just hitting.

Oh god have I got 2 completely related stories!! Sorry for the thread jack... Still on topic tho :D

So the employee smoking section is conveneintly located directly beside the stores dock pick-up where cust's come to pick up large merch. One day was particularly busy, with cars all over the place, instead of in the designated parkings spots, cuz I guess thats too hard to figure out. One lady takes her car and starts to reverse, with another car behind her. Myself and several employees stand up to watch her back her car directly into another vehicle that was CLEARLY behind her, she was boxed in. She actually TRIED to escape by almost hitting the OTHER car boxing her in, seriously lady, you have nowhere to go. Police came, everybody vehicle was then boxed in for a good 15-20 mins.

My friend works security for the same mall. She told me an instance where a women attempted to get out of her parking space and managed to hit, get this, 5 CARS in the process. She hit the car on the one side, over compensated and hit the car on the OTHER side. Then backed up in a panic and the way her car was angled, hit 2 cars in the spots across from her, then tried to flee and went in drive and hit another car that was beside those 2 cars. SERIOUSLY??? who gave this women her licence???? and how bad is her car insurance premium??

Wow. I've seen some doozies, but not a 5-car bash.

And that's why you practice in an empty lot.

We recently had a lady try to park in a carriage corral, panic gun it and side swipe 3 of the 4 cars parked next to corral and smash the corral into three other parked cars.
