So, I am offically nesting now. Have spend my day going through all my baby stuff. Washing it all. And putting it all away.
I got irrational about the house.
The SO got whined at for 3 hours via text messaging while he was at work last night about the dishes not being done. I have not had the ability to do the dishes since I was 5 months along. I am huge and cant reach the bottom of the sink anymore.
I made him do half the dishes before I let him climb into bed. And was pissy and pouting till he did the rest.
I have a feeling this is going to get worse.
I was wondering if any of you have any stories about nesting?

OMG hormonal pregnant women
Tell your SO the answer to everything is "YES DEAR"
Have been through it 4 times with my wifey until we found out what was causing the pregnancies:D

 It took you 4 times to figure out the cause?
I was kind of, but it seems to be switched off now. Probably because when I sit on the floor by the dresser to fold baby clothes, I can't get back up. I can still do most of the housework except for vacuuming, so I have been asking Husband to do it for several days now (he is very forgetful, and things seem to keep coming up to prevent it...my mom offered to do it this weekend...at 10 at night, until I reminded her we live in an apartment) but it's not really stressing me too badly.
Are you drowning in baby clothes monolayth? I wonder if that is a common thing or if it's due to my mom recently discovering the joys of Craigslist.

Yes, I have a ton of baby clothing, yet oddly very few pants.
Everyone has given me shirts and onsies.
Nate (the SO & father) has a nephew who is about to turn two. I have all his baby things. My only complaint is i strongly dislike winnie the pooh and most of his stuff was that. And for some reason my mother keeps giving me winnie the pooh stuff. I am thankful for not having to buy the stuff and will use it.
I think my mother is nesting, She calls me all the time telling me that she bought stuff for the baby. You would think this was her first grandchild. But this will be her last.
My older brother has 4 and is done. & I am so never going through this again lol.

Anyway, kids sizes change quite quickly. If you don't have an extended family member or friend to pass the stuff to, consider donating. Remember to get a tax receipt--DROP BOXES ARE EVIL. Here's a valuation guide (http://www.salvationarmysouth.org/valueguide.htm).
Anyway, apply for the kids social security number ASAP, if it is an option to go from the hospital to the SS office with the completed form (http://www.socialsecurity.gov/online/ss-5.pdf), do it. Every tax season, I see one to three couples who waited 'til February to apply--bad option, because, the Social Security Administration does not guarantee that the kid's number will be issued before April 15th. They end up having to file an amended return with the new dependent and end up spending $100 needlessly.

It really hit me when I turned 28. I'd decided 30 was the right time to have a kid since I'd have had three decades to do what I wanted. So I suffered through two years of biological clock crap, until we moved and Husband got settled into his postdoc. Then I got pregnant 5 weeks after we started trying (we expected 5 months at least...). Ah well, I'm grateful we didn't have trouble like many people do.
Are you having a boy? Pink camo pants would be perfect. Especially with lots of pockets. I still can;t figure out why baby pants have pockets. What are they gonna put in there, their stash?

I am kinda scared of what a baby can get in their pockets. I wish boys did not get pockets till adult sizes.

Not a nesting story, but my wife was so sick with our last kid, (3rd of 3) that she could not function without a zofran IV strapped to her back.

im almost done with my 5th. due on 18th, i havent really been nesting as such but had urges to clean and cant actually do it as its too painfull, so i have been delagating taskst to the kids. my 7yr old son now know how to load the dryer, empty the lint filter, put it back, and turn on the dryer. load the washer and where to put the soap and which button turns it on.
i have a nagging desire to sort throught all my cloth nappies.
i also have the nagging need to go get all teh last min bits i need for my home birth.
today i had the urge to crawl on teh floor cleaning it with a cloth, i didnt as my back is killing me but i might give it a do tomorrow, might help baby move into a better position than she is in.
good luck to the OP, hope labour goes well for you.

A needle and thread will solve the pocket problem with minimal effort for what it's worth.
Just stitch up the opening from behind and the stitches shouldn't even be visible, so long as you keep them inside the seam
IF we ever have a baby (we're planning on adopting and it's rare to be able to adopt one that young, or so I've heard), I plan on doing just that until the kid gets older.
Edit: D and I are moving into our first place together this month and I told her she has the power over how the place gets set up. She told me that was just the thing to cause a girl-gasm. She doesn't realize that I have an alterior motive. Once the furniture is in place, it doesn't get moved. And my excuse is that SHE picked the placements.
