My god mothers cat died the other day, well he was put down. I feel so sad.

He was 18, Oscar, defurred himself trying and failing to jump onto a corrogated iron fence despite the fact his hind legs kept collaspsing on him, it damaged some nerves and he was in too much pain, she didnt even have a chance to let her kids say goodbye, the second the vet saw that cat he told her he was too far gone and they put him down straight away.I grew up with that cat, him mum only died last year and she was over 20, they were the only cats whos animal fur I didnt mind on me, I used to sneak them inside when I stayed and they slept on my bed with me.

Mum just told me on the phone, she must have forgotten how much I loved him because she didnt soften the blow at all, just blurted it out, I burst into tears :(
there were people over at our house, everyone started freaking out thinking a person had died, and at first I was too upset to say anything...what a mess, kyles just going crazy wondering what the hecks going on..

He was a beautiful cat, one of those norwegain mountain cats, white underneath with, such a beautiful cat, so intelligent but so snuggly. I named my pet rat after oscar! When I finally settle down im going to get one of the same breed and name him "the grouch" in oscars memory. Im glad hes out of pain, I just feel bad that I wont ever get to snuggle him again.

Aw, poor Oscar, i am glad your godmother did the right thing though, I can't imagine how much pain he must have been in. At least he's not hurting any more.

Norwegian Forest cats are beautiful, my friend used to have one and their fur is jsut gorgeous.

RIP Oscar.

Poor Oscar. It hurts when a beloved pet from childhood passes away. And he sounds like a beautiful cat. Just remember that he loved you as much as you loved him.
