Okay. I'll begin at the beginning.

Monday. My right ear clogged up in the middle of my seminar - and it wouldn't clear. I went to bed half-deaf in the hopes it would clear up overnight.
Tuesday. Nope, still there. Slept through my alarm, missed halfhour of my lecture, and all I could hear was mwaamwoomawawa...yay, I'm deaf in one ear!!! Phoned NHS Direct (very useful) and the nice guy on the end suggested I go and get lughole checked out before I buy any drops for it, as my eardrum could've burst. Five minutes of a doctor's time with an otoscope. We have no walk-in centre in Winchester, seeing that the university is right near to Hampshire's big hospital, so he suggests I go to A+E. Never done that before. I've only been in hospital without an appointment once before, when I spazzed at Thorpe Park in 2002. But there'd been an accident earlier on, and the nurse said it was a three-hour wait, so I went home. Phoned for emergency doctor at my GP practice, justified it with 'I CAN'T HEAR!!!' and got an appointment for 5 PM. Yaaay, finally something to deal with my newly-named Otitis Externa!! Got a huge box of painkillers and this earspray stuff to clear the wax. Took doses of both before roleplay.
Now here's where stuff gets fuzzy. I fell asleep in me mate's armchair after we'd finished our session. Woken up, Stein walked me home, and I took the second doses and fell into bed.

Wednesday. Got up at ten. Blundered downstairs, ate cereal bar, took third doses. Felt like crap, said 'frag it!!' and went back to bed.
I slept for the entire day. I was sick three times - once to bring up a mouthful of cereal bar, twice for nothing but bile, and third was half me dinner. Refused to take next dose of painkillers. I'd never felt more ill in my life.

The clincher...I went to the nurse today, brought the drugs along. The painkillers are Solpadol - 100mg paracetamol and 30mg codeine. This is the strongest stuff you can get before actual hospital morphine, and usually only for very serious pain. Ummm...I had EARACHE. I don't blame the doctor, but maybe he was a little...I don't know, easy in giving me the boxful.

 Now I have a box of 90-odd uber-strong pills I don't know what to do with. The nurse suggests I keep them for 'just in case'. Should I load half of the bastards onto my mum?

You know, people pay a decent amount at my college for Perc 10s...Nah, I'd never actually suggest selling them. Still considered illegal drug dealing. But seriously, I know people that will pay $10 for just one pill. Jeese if you are that desperate, just get a prescription. You got a LOT more pills for you buck.
