i thought we could do a thread for pics of the winter storm that hit recently. if its a bad idea, just close it. i don't know if my pics will work, cause ive never put pictures on here before.

my area got almost 17 inches. i had a doctors appointment in the morning. i had to have my blood glucose test done, and they want it done before im 28 weeks along, which is tuesday, so i didn't cancel. we drove the big truck though, so we were safer. the pics are of my little car.... they are showing how much is on the back end, from both sides, and then how much is against the side after a snow plow pushed more snow up against it. we had done a little bit of digging at this point, but there was more.ill probably put more up later

Your links didn't work, but I'm putting my link in from what we got here in Missour (St. Louis). The office ones were when I was still at work on the 30th. I was there with just a couple of managers. They finally decided about 4pm it was time to go home with no calls and nothing for me to do.

I never made it in on Friday because they didn't plow the road until almost noon by us and I couldn't even dig myself out till the afternoon when the sun was starting to help melt the ice and snow.

The title of the album comes from the local station here that was joking at the time about what to call this storm. There had been a threat of snow a few weeks prior that materialized nothing.

Sheesh. You know, I pray for it to snow here, but not that much.

That looks like it did in March - we went up to the Rockies in Colorado. There were places (up in the mountains) where there was up to 40 feet of snow. We wanted to go over a pass, and we asked a lady about it. Her exact words? "Oh God no! There's 40 feet of snow up there!" They evidently don't plow all the roads up there. A suburban came in handy, but we managed to get it halfway stuck in snow because it was too high. It was pretty insane for us, having lived in FL for 16 years and Virginia before that (Dad was born in Illinois). Still - holy crap! Enjoy the great excuse to not go ANYWHERE and stay home and watch movies :D
