I have all my Christmas shopping done. My kids got toys and the Playstation 2 and about 9 games. They also got clothes. My two youngest boys got a Caddilac Escalade ride on, battery operated car. Actually the baby will have two Cadillac Escalade in his virtual garage, I got him a foot powered ride on car.
I ordered a set of wedding bands for me and my husband. Mine is buried somewhere in the front yard and hubby lost his somewhere. I probably won't get anything for our anniversary (13 yrs married, together for 17), I never do. The same goes for Christmas, but I got him a pair of black jeans, a LS sweater and a new dress watch. He always says that he doesn't have any money, but we'll see this year since he has gotten a raise.
Now I am going to sit back and relax with my Giradehli (sp.) chocolate and my new book "Cell" by Steven King. I hope it is a good book. I haven't read a book in a loooong time at least anything with adult content.

I liked "Cell", except for the ending (which I won't say anything about at this point).

I've done all mine, except for DH's. He wants a very specific watch, and I'm trying to find it online as inexpensively as possible (its a pricy watch). Now all I have to do is write cards, and wrap presents.

I think I have everything done. I have more bookstore credit than I know what to do with, and credit at a game store that my mom has to ask my uncle about (I'm trying to get my cousins into games and puzzles that you actually have to think to solve).

I still have to buy most of my family's gifts yet. I have 2 toys and a couple of books bought for my little guy, but I don't know what else to get him... I might just put the money in his savings account. He'll be more interested in the wrapping paper and boxes anyway.

I bought a couple things for my nephew, but ran out of money (stupid bank!*) before I could finish my shopping for Becks and Mom.
I'm going to get House: season 2 on DVD for Becks. SHHHHHHH. Don't tell her; it supposed to be a surprise. And some other things.
I don't know what I'm going to get for my mother. She says she doesn't want anything for Christmas, but since that's what I got her for her birthday :Þ, I'm determined to get her something extra nice.
*Yes, it IS the bank's fault. I checked my balance on Wed. (that's when I get paid, thanks to direct deposit), to make sure I had more then enough money to pay a couple bills. I had that and then some. I paid the bills, went shopping for my nephew, and when I went to get some cash, it said I was overdrawn by almost $200! I didn't even spend what my original balance was, much less a lot more!

So far, my little girl has a Disney Princess tea set, a black Beatles T-shirt (she loves the Beatles!) A Huggable Pablo from the Backyardigans... and who knows what else she will get. I can't afford to go overboard this year. And her birthday is about 2 weeks after Christmas, so I have to save something for her.

Usually I'd be done by now. But not this year! I haven't even started yet!
I'm so lost I don't know what to get my youngest kid or my hubby. My oldest likes gift cards so that's easy... Best Buy here I come!

I got my dad's present from duty-free at Perth Airport, since I didn't have time in Dubai, but I have no idea what to get for my mum. I wanted to make her the scarf that she was admiring in John Lewis (you buy the wool, and get the pattern free), but the person who was manning the wool department was on lunch when I was there today, and I didn't have time to hang around and wait for her, so I'll have to go back. Fortunately, it's done in garter stitch, so it shouldn't take too long.
She's one of those irritating people who repond to 'What would you like for Christmas?' with 'Oh, just a kind word'. Just one little hint? Please?

I'm done. Most of the people in my family like boozy presents, so it was easy.

I haven't started yet either... But then, I'm still waiting on the people who's names I drew for christmas to email me back with their lists. We're a pretty low-maintenance family.
I did get my christmas present early from my husband, though. He's so cute, I always get my prezzies a few weeks before the actual event. He gave me a gorgeous black pearl bracelet and a white gold ring with diamonds and alexandrite stones in the setting. Very pretty. I thanked him accordingly

I'm all done. My parents and I don't exchange pressies coz we're across the country from each other, and the Post Office is notorious for nicking things.
(I am sending them a nice plant and nougat via a delivery service though)
My boyfriend is getting socks, undies and a nice work shirt, plus biltong (the SA equivalent of jerky), his sister (who lives with us) is getting a big bag of bathsalts, bath bombs and a choc-scented candle. Oh, and the puppy is getting doggy chews :)

I finally started! Yea!
I went out last night and bought a little tree and some little decorations. It reminds me of Charlie Brown's christmas tree- poor thing. My 6 year old thinks it's the most beautiful tree ever though and that's all that matters. :D
Amoung other things I also finally bought my Christmas cards to send to all my fellow CSers. :o

Since my wedding aniversary is on Dec 23, I got my hubby new wedding bands to replace the ones that we have lost. They have finally came in and I picked them up this morning. His looks much smaller than his other one, but he said that he wears an 8. Oh well, if it doens't fit I still have the receipt, I'll just take it back, with him in tow, and get the correct size. He has no idea that I did this, not to mention I already have him a christmas gift. Mostly since I am not working. Horraay for Wal Mart Jewelry layaway!!!!
Chances are, I won't get anything in return, I never have.
This is a question for all of the married couples out there: What would happen to you if you forget to get your spouse a gift for your anniversary? And also, what would you do if your spouse either forgot or didn't get you anything for your anniversary?? Just curious.

I'm about half done with the shopping, but does anyone else dream that it's christmas day and they haven't bought anything? It's a recurring nightmare for me and I'm starting to panic that I'll forget someone :(

I just finished my shopping. GAH!
I hate shopping.
Now, I have to wrap!
Actually, I'm very lucky as all I have to wrap is my youngest son's presents. One of my friends (bless her soul) LOVES wrapping and has offered to hang out with me tomorrow and wrap my presents for me!
I  my friend. I'm glad I got her an extra special present! (Which I have to wrap or it defeats the purpose.) LOL!

I'm nearly done. All that's left is to wrap things, including the kitty's gifts. Of course with the way he's been acting lately, *he* might get wrapped up as well. I have no idea why, but kitty is a bit hyper lately:lol:

protege, does your cat like to "help" with the wrapping? As in, he sits on the wrapping paper, eats the sellotape, tries to put his nose under the scissors, plays patacake with your pen as you're writing the tags, etc. Anyone want a fat black cat, very talkative, mostly affectionate, eats toes and likes helping you wrap things?
Anyway, i am FINISHED ! I have to get three presents tonight, for the Sprog's teacher and classroom assistants, but that is it. All the "big" presets are bought and wrapped, all the cards are written and sent.

Since he was an outside cat before, I'm not sure if he'll "help" me wrap things. I do know that if he gets close enough to smell his gifts (kitty treats, plastic mice), he'll probably eat them. As if that wasn't enough, he'll probably want to play with the ribbon, bat the bows around, and might even get a nametag stuck to himself.

My guy and I decided to do the what the Kranks did in Christmas with the Kranks. We decided to forgo buying presents for everyone and instead bought ourselves a week long vacation to Las Vegas complete with NASCAR race tickets. We will take our trip in March! The tickets came in the mail the other day and you should have seen my guy sitting there staring at them! He was almost drooling!! It has been a life long dream for him to attend a NASCAR race and he gets more excited every day!
We also went out and spent a few bucks on new clothes for Vegas, I sent out a few Christmas cards..at the last minute as in only two days ago!!! I did not even make candy like I normally do, but I also had finals all last week and did not want to bother with all the stuff..with finals and full time work I just don't have the time or the money to spend.
I feels a bit liberating..the only person that is going to recieve anything is my mom as she is mentally handicapped and does not understand why I won't send her anything, so I am sending her some money. which she loves better than presents!! The best thing is that I don't have to fight with all the stupid people out there doing the last minute junk. I have Christmas Eve and Day off and I'm just going to hibernate at home and play on the computer. NO sucky customers for me!!!

Went to the White Rose shopping centre (mall, I guess?), found a parking spot within seconds (pure luck), and bought two books - one for each parent. I'm not bothering with presents for any other family members, what with hating their guts. All my friends are skint this year for some reason (one is a new father who used to have loads of cash, another is facing voluntary redundancy due to a war between directors, though I don't know if either of these are because of the reasons above).
Had a KFC, a chat with a the guy who does my high-visibility vests, and wandered home. Jolly easy!
