So, I'm having some trouble with my incision, and had to call the neurosurgeon this morning.
When he called me back, I had to stop myself, because I almost answered "Helpdesk, this is Jennifer." You think being curled up in bed in my jammies would be enough to remind me I'm not at work...

I have answered my cell phone and my home phone with "security". Yes, it is embarassing.

I just live with using my work greeting on my cell, or forgetting. I have my office phone forwarded to my cell if I don't pick it up. THAT gets confusing!

I've answered the phone at home as "XYZ Corp, how can I help you?" Usually, that makes the other person go silent...while I go "D'oh!"

One time, I answered my work line, "Good Morning Wal-Mart"
I've never worked for Wal-Mart.

The college I work for now, and the college I graduated from both start with the same letter.
Adjusting to not NOT calling college B by college A's name was rough.

The brits do that too? Huh, must be a universal thing. Learn something new every day.

At work if I'm not paying attention, I'll pick up the line to the drive through and start my "W pharmacy, this is Phe, how can I help you?" Sometimes I realize partway through and have to abort. There's also times when I pick up a regular line and ask "Hi! Picking one up? Durrrrr.....I mean, how can I help you?"
When I was still working out of my trainer's barn, there were a few occasions where I'd answer "So and So's barn...." One of those times she was on the other end of the line and we cackled for about 5 minutes straight.....
