Hello all canadians,

i have a question. I was cleaning up in the storage house and found a 1954 canadian Dollar Bil that has the words Ottawa on itl. It looks very pretty.

My question is this. Is this worth anythign to a collector?

I also found a piece of vietnamese money. I have no idea what it is or what its worht. I'll try and take a picture of it and see if anyone here knows.

Ok here are some kinda bad quickie photos of the bills. I hope this is ok.

Sorry about the quality as I didnt go through the trouble of setting up my scanner or photo rig and just used some magnets to hold the money against the fridge and free handed with my camera then processed the images down for web size. If you want a bigger picture let me know and I can email it to you.

Hmmm...I don't know much about money-besides that I like it very, very much, so don't quote me.

I doubt that it would be worth much to a collect, BUT one thing that may bolster it's value somewhat is the fact that Canada has not printed a dollar bill since 1991 or so. But that being said, it might bolster it's value from one dollar to $1.50. Sorry to be a killjoy.

Hey no problem. I like collecting works of artlike that too. And if anyone has any portraits of Ben Franklin or US Grant they dont want I'll take em. ;-)

Yeah i knew they hadnt printed any bills in awhile so I thought it might be interesting to show it to folks/see if anyone knew anything. I'm not really looking for a place to sell it just kinda wondering if putting it in the photo album is good (nonacid clear vynl pockets) enough or if I should do something more to keep it safe for posterity.

Oh well thanks anyhow.
