I am trying a different beer tonight. Young's double chocolate stout. :p So far it is a very enjoyable slow drinking beer, very smooth and not overly bitter.

I ended last night having bondage knots practised on me, playing video games, and then heading to the pub for a night cap.

We recently got Left Handed Milk Stout on draft at work. It is yummylicious!

Now there is a phrase I can honestly say I have never uttered.

hot chocolate + peppermint schnapps = only good thing about cold weather (My usual wind down treat when it's cold outside)

That beer in the OP sounds delicious. I had chocolate wine once--not so good. It was cloyingly sweet. I guess I should get out the hot chocolate; it snowed last night.

Spiced rum or grand marnier are also great in cocoa.

I need to pick up some peppermint schnapps. I went to the bookstore after work and got a peppermint hot chocolate, and was thinking I would prefer schnapps to syrup...:p
Our employee appreciation discount started today, so I picked up some Godiva dark chocolate hot chocolate mix, and also their gift package of 3 different flavors. It has small cans of dark and milk chocolate mix, and caramel hot chocolate. Can't wait to try that one (last year it had mocha instead, which was good, but I'm not a huge coffee fan).

Oh man, the bf makes the BEST homemade buttered rum. I'll have to hound him to make it again. Nothing better then a little sweet and a little booze to chase away the winter chills. It was really nice last winter because the heater in that house sucked and there was zero insulation.

Might I recommend that you add some Bailey's to the mix? Those three things together form the drink called a "Girl Scout Cookie," because it tastes exactly like a Thin Mint! And is a great cold weather drink.
I often tell people that if they are sick and it's cold out, to go into a bar and order, oh, I dunno, about four or five of those. And one of two things will happen. 1. They will feel better. 2. They will be too drunk to notice they're sick! :D

Godiva also makes some chocolate liqueurs, and they are awesomeness in booze form! If you like chocolate, and you like drinks, this is the stuff for you!

No doubt.
During the short time it gets cold down here, one of my favorite watering holes, which is an outdoor bar on the docks, cranks up a pot of spiced cider, to which they add Captain Morgan's (or your choice of other booze) to make an awesome boozy bone-warming cup of deliciousness.
It's my favorite part of winter in the Keys. Seriously.

I had the divine treat of Coffee Baileys! Heaven in a glass! Both my favourite things mixed. :D I don't think the bottle will last until Christmas...
