Me: Thank you for calling Staples. This is Dave1982. How can I help you?

Guy: Hi, can I talk to Dan please?

Me: I'm sorry, Dan has gone home for the day. Would you like to talk to another manager?

Guy: Oh, uh, no....um...is he still there?

Me: No, he's gone home for the day.

Guy: Oh, ok, um, no sweat, never mind. Thanks *click*

Yes. Dan is off the clock, but decided to hang around so as to answer customer calls. Idiot.

Other ASM: What was that?

I explain briefly.

ASM: Um.....hello!!

Ahahaha, well that's certainly a new question from a customer.

SC: Is Dan there?
Me: I can check. What is your name, please?
SC: It's Dave (selected completely at random for the sake of argument).
Me: DAVE'S NOT HERE, MAN!

Guy: What do you mean he's not there, even though he's off the clock? What if a customer calls & must speak to him???? Are you trying to tell me that he has a life outside of that place???? :D
