So yeah, hey, I'm new here. I have a number of old stories from working in bars, and I'll post em up as I think of them and have time. But this is a completely off topic thing I wanted to ask anyone and everyone.
I'm working on a story (yeah, yeah, I'm a writer, I know) and in it, there is a letter that a mother writes to her four year old daughter. The title of the book? "Things I Want My Daughter to Know".
I've gotten a lot of things in there. You know, general life lessons that you learn and wish you could have learned much earlier. But I feel like I'm forgetting things.
So tell me. What do YOU wish someone had told you when you were younger? What do you wish you could have learned without the actual experience of learning it? (e-mail me if you don't want to put it up here!)
Thanks in advance for the help!
