My mum and dad were in a panic, cos I didn@t turn up for work and the cinema phoned them when I didn't turn up. i tried to ring work repeatedly while i walked to hospital, but no-one was there.

Eventually they rung the hospital;, who confirmed i was there. so they rang my g/f who came to a&e.

after i was x-rayed, i had to have the bone pushed back into place, which was probably the most painful experience of my life.

now i am spending time at my parents, being waited on and looked after. :)

All i can say is, thank goodness for the nhs.!

apologies for lousy typing.

sorry to hear that...I've never broken a bone in my body...but I remember my mom's semi joy in breaking her wrist cause when ever dad got to roudy, she'd smack him with it and not feel it. :P

I can sympathize. I did a flambe on my right hand back in '04. Second degree burns. Six weeks in gauze.

I wasn't sure if I would starve or exsanguinate from impaling my face with a fork. I have no coordination with my left hand.

There is one good thing about it. It did prove how much The Wife loves me.

I hope they gave you good meds and you feel better soon.

I can also sympathise, trod on a half millimeter drillbit yesterday and it went an inch into my foot, maybe even into the bone or between the joint cause it sure has hell is hurting today.

I'm fine, was brand new and clean, damn my carpet for being grey and the stuff i drop primarily the same or a similar colour.

Worse thing was that i thought at first it was just a tiny wooden splinter, you know the kind that are just into the skin and not past it? Yep, I yanked it out, that was an odd pain coupled with the texture of the drill bit itself, i don't want to experience that again!

Spent the week with my parents. Now i'm home and have to cope on my own. my g/f will be dropping in to help though.
