I'm not seriously, furiously angry about this...but I am pissed off about it.

The WWE is going to be doing it's first ever live Raw television show in Bossier City next month. It's less than an hour drive from my house and my sister and I have never been to a Raw taping so I was, to be blunt, naturally excited.

Now, you can order online throught the credit card thing, and my credit card payments are due every month on the 15th. Cool. I had already sent them $30 for a payment so everything paid is due up, but I was going to send an extra $80 to cover the cost of two *hopefully* decent tickets to the show.

So, this last Monday, the 11th, I went to the post office here in town...a BIG metro post office, not some rinky little rural one...with the money order already in the envelope, addressed, etc. It was about 2 in the afternoon when I get to the lady and I asked for it to be sent two-day priority mail.

Now, I'm not an SC so I didn't have any hallucinations in my mind that Monday would count as one day, because it was the later afternoon, but I figured Tuesday and Wednesday, and maybe Thursday if there was a hold-up, but by today, Friday, the money should have made it just fine. I've sent two-day priority several times and it always went off without a hitch.

Of course, if that were the case, I wouldn't be as P.O.'ed as I currently am, because I have been circling my online account statement like a hawk and what do you know, the money's NOT IN THERE. I'm taking time zones into account because it's only 3:00 p.m. at the place where my credit card payment goes to, so I'm going to give it a little longer before I totally freak out.

WHY, WHY, does the one time that I'm actually concerned about my mail getting to where it needs to go on time, does it not? The rest of the time I used priority mail, I didn't particularly give a crap if it got there on time or not, I just wanted it to get there and priority seems to get more babying than regular mail.

I guess it's just Murphy's Law because ARGH GRRRRR STRANGLE GAH.

I'll still be getting tickets eventually, no worries on it. They just won't be GREAT tickets. And what's really irritating is I don't know who screwed up, the post office, the credit card folks, or myself, so I don't know who to yell at!!

So. Pissed. Off. *breaks things*

Edit: I'm not actually going to yell at anyone, much as I'd like to. Unless I find out some postal clerk dropped my envelope in a slot for Timbuktu or a credit card mail clerk made a paper airplane and sailed my money out into traffic or something equally retarded. Then I make no promises.

um just a thought but do you really think you're the only person that sent a payment that arrived that day? We normally tell people that it can take a week to ten days [I]after we receive[I]the payment for it to post to the account-we have over 50million customers sending payments in every month.

Relax I got so many calls every day with people screaming at me that their payment should be on their account because they sent it a week ago. the money order receipt should have a number you can call to see if it's been redeemed or not yet, if it hasn't, it could still be sitting in a sorting room.

Don't even get me started on the folks that think the second their phone arrives back at the warehouse they should get their credit(it takes 2-3 months usually).

I don't think that I'm the only person even by a long bit. But I've had this card for almost a year now and I've monitored the online account obsessively during that time (watching my parents go overboard with their cards made me insanely careful). And without fail, every time, two or three times a month for 11 months (I send lots of little payments instead of one big one), my payment posts the same day or at the most, the next day after it arrives at the company. If it had been the case from the get-go that it always took a week or longer after the payment arrived, I would expect it and not be annoyed about it.

I'm not really angry at the PEOPLE working at the credit card company, I'm probably not even angry at the company at all, because if they haven't gotten the money, I can't blame it on them in the least. I'm just angry because I've done the same thing that's worked flawlessly for almost a year and yet this is the one time that I've COUNTED ON the results from doing the exact same thing as always, and gotten different results. If anything really gets blamed, I'd probably side with blaming the post office...our local one has been doing some...oddness...lately.

And for the record, no, I've not gotten any change-of-policy notices from them that would explain the difference, either. :)
