Who here is gonna have a white Christmas (Spiffy...you don't count!)?

It's looking like it'll be close to 80 on Xmas day here lol. It's not our coldest Christmas, but not our warmest either haha.

Doesn't look like it's happening where I am, but then we usually don't really get a decent snow until well into January.

Only if I go out and spray paint the lawn white... :D

My Christmas is going to be rainy and gloomy.

No White Christmas in Wisconsin either.

It's been 40 degrees or warmer for over a week now. We got about 6 inches of snow earlier in the month but it's all gone. No precipitation in the forecast either, except maybe some rain showers.

Christmas without snow is Easter.

It's December 18th and I'm still walking around in jeans and a t-shirt, same when I was still at school in PA. It's been over 60 degrees the past few days when normally if it hasn't snowed already, it's still at most 35 degrees. It doesn't even get that cold at night. Chances of snow in New Jersey for Christmas: 0.01%.

We'll probably get scattered patches of grey, but that will be about all.

Chance of snow, 40%.

Which means, probably not :(

Well, since the Canadians finally got the hint and stopped dumping all their arctic air on us and shut off the polar wind tunnel it's been unseasonably warm. It was almost 70 yesterday! It's 50 right now and it's supposed to be in the 40's for Christmas when I go to Michigan this weekend. This is great news since my electric/gas bill will be a lot cheaper than it was. It was $147 dollars last month so it should only be around 90-100 dollars this month if the mild weather continues.

At this point, weather.com is calling 57/43 for temps (high/low), "few showers", for Monday. This is of course subject to change this far ahead. ;)

It was close to 70 degrees here today, when it should be closer to 40. The forecast for Christmas at this point is rain. Bah. Humbug. We'll get snow in January when we don't want it! :P

From my experience with weather in general, the first two weeks of January is the time where if the worst weather of the season happens, it really does. If it's quiet during that period and nothing catastrophic happens then the rest of the season will be a piece of cake to deal with.

Right now, we've been having warm weather (try upper 60's to lower 70's) but sadly, it's going back to more seasonable temps (we're expecting mid 60's tomorrow and around 50 on Wed.)

So we're expecting Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to be both colder (lower 50's for highs, lower 30s at night) and a chance of rain.

Why can I just have mid 70's temps year round without the expense of moving?

It's been warm here. My dad got us hotel rooms at the beach for Christmas because we like to walk along the ocean all bundled up...but who knows, it might actually be "beach weather" on Christmas!

It's been hovering around the 20's and 30's here since the windstorm. They're predicting 40's and 50's and drizzle on Christmas.

We've had snowy icy new years' the last few years, but not christmases.

Looks like we are in for some rain and wind. Whee.

the only way we'll get a white christmas is if we cover everything in white packing polystyrene (sp?) at the moment, we're looking at temps of between 95 and 110

None here, either. This will be the first time since we moved here 7 years ago that we have not had snow on Christmas.

Now I just hope it doesn't snow when the girls and I go to Tennessee for a couple of days right after Christmas. I don't want to have to drive 10 hours in the snow.

Oh sure, blame us!:D

I am definately going to have a white Christmas. Already 3 feet out there.

Who here is gonna have a white Christmas (Spiffy...you don't count!)?

I never count...

:p

Yeah, I'll be having a white Christmas-a good two and a half/three feet of snow on the ground. I kinda hope that clouds will bring down big fat flakes of snow on Christmas day-it just feels more festive that way.

If Spiffy doesn't count, do I still count?!
Well, if I do count, I as well shall have a white Christmas.
Otherwise :p

I was putting Christmas lights outside on the house today. You know something's wrong with where you live when you sweat profusely putting up Christmas lights - it was like 85 and humid out. Yes, I realize we deal with temps MUCH higher than 85, but we like a break from time to time. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt, and was so hot that I essentially threw the lights at the house and gave up. It looks quite decent, actually (for the 45 mins of work I put into it haha).

I was clearing brush today wearing jeans and a tank top. I wanted to wear shorts, but I didn't want to get scratched up.

If it doesn't get any colder than this, it wouldn't bother me one bit. I don't know the temp last couple days. It was georgeous, glorious, the sun absolutely beautiful. I took several days off to enjoy it.

I get crazy if I can't go outside and get some sun and air. I HATE cold weather.

I built a greenhouse a couple years, as much for me as for my plants. I get stir crazy, I can go inside and sit in the warm humid air and pretend it's springtime for a while.

I've never had a White Christmas...but one year it snowed in Tucson and I got to have a White Easter...how weird is that?

I don't think we're going to have a white Christmas here in PA. As I'm typing this, it's relatively warm, and sunny outside. I was hoping for snow...simply because it's the first year in my house....plus it'll cover up all the dead plants in the yard, and the junk on the patio :p
