Is it a pain for you if I leave money on the pump?
By that, I mean if I've paid ten bucks and pumped 9.87 in gas, do I really need to go back inside to get my change?

Doesn't bother me any...my drawer is 13 cents over, and that's one less customer to deal with.

OK, good. Thank you. I was concerned about the pump misbehaving when the next person tried to use it, resulting in an innocent clerk being yelled at.

At all the stations I've worked at, we just call up the sale and cash it out. No problem. I've had people leave with $1.53 or something still left on the sale. Snack money. LOL. But to be fair, I waited an hour or so to make sure they weren't coming back before I spent it.

Thanks again, Bella :) I feel much better knowing that you folks have a way to deal with this.

It would make me feel even better if I thought the clerks were getting the spare change. My 13 cents isn't much, but if 50 people a day leave 13 cents...that turns into real money.
