Eragon!

After an insane semester (my hard work paid off; I got a 4.0!), I finally treated myself to the movie I've been waiting to see since reading the Inheritance books this past summer: Eragon!

I really enjoyed it. Like LOTR, it left out tons of information and a few important characters (I am anxious to see how they plan on working off of that in the next movies) and several things happened differently (not one person died the way they did in the book!), but all in all it was so awesome. I thought Saphira's voice was right on, and she was just adorable as a baby dragon!

I could just nitpick away like I did in the car after the movie (I went with a friend who hasn't read the books and she just kinda let me ramble on for 20 straight minutes), but I don't want to give too much away to those who plan on seeing the movie. While it is a great movie, it is an experience for those who have read the books.


I loves me some Eragon and can't wait to see Eldest.


And is it just me, or is Murtagh really hot?

Ooooh I loved it(have also read the books)! And yes they left LOTS of stuff out,I pretty much agree with everything you said lol:D

The final book is supposed to come out this semester!!! I'm so excited.

I was blown away by the books considering the author was what? 13? when he wrote the first one I believe.

I have to disagree about the movie though. It was so dramatically different than the books that if I hadn't read them already I would have been very confused watching the movie. Nothing was explained enough, and except for Jeremy Irons, the acting I thought to be overdone and poor.

But then I'm really anal-retentive when it comes to book to movie flicks. :angel:
