Every forum has one of these at one point or another, So I figured I start it here. Aren't I nice? Put in whatever info you want from the above categories.
My avatar came from an anime called Tekkaman Blade, with a loose translation in NA under the name Teknoman some time ago. Certainly not the best anime I've seen, but the fight scenes were always fun to watch.
My sig. Ahh yes. I'm always coming up with diabolical ideas that probably should never be executed, lest legal action results. For some time now, I've been called outright evil by those near me, but since I never do any of the things, I adjust it to evil bastard.
My name is interesting, the lundar part is a derivitive of lunar, and I tacked the lord onto it for kicks. I've had this net name for years now and have no intention of giving it up.
Fashion Lad!

I don't have an avatar yet, if I do, it'll probably be of Pete Doherty. Some people may have heard of him. I hear he's a notorious trouble maker. He was dating Kate Moss when she got caught with cocaine.
My signature is a title JAM (JuniorMintz) gave me. I read it and laughed for about 5 minutes. So I decided to keep it.
Then the quote below it is because I love to party and I love my friends. So you can put the rest together.
My name, I have a thing for Jack Daniels. I like taking shots of it straight. I like putting it in coke... etc. It's uses are endless.
XCashier
07-15-2006, 10:53 PM
I'm a former cashier, hence, XCashier.
I found my sig on one of those lists of funny one-liners. It fits me pretty well.
My avatar is my cat, Trouble.
I found the picture when I was creating my graduation invations and needed a bear. It was just the funnyest photo ever and it reminded me of what my customers look like when they dont get their own way (and how I look for the same reason for that matter)
my sig is my blog which i never update, the two hottest men alive...err I mean ever and a quote by one of my favourite artists.
my name was kiwicraftgirl (when I joined I was working at a craft shop) and then i shortened it to kiwi because I come from Kiwiland (although now im BC because of my boyfriend)
Bella_Vixen
07-15-2006, 11:23 PM
My avatar is Pussyfoot from the Pussyfoot/Marc Antony Looney Toons cartoons. She has that tough bulldog wrapped around her tiny little paw (I've been known to have some people wrapped around my little finger--their admission, not mine) and has gorgeous green eyes (like me!)
My sig is a quote from a book from Lillian Jackson Braun. I've known it to be fact.
My name is a mix of a diminutive of my real name and a comment a friend made about me once, so I stole it.
One-Fang
07-15-2006, 11:26 PM
My name refers to my cat, who had a run-in with a car and lost one of his fangs. He also had a run-in with another cat that permanently folded one of his ears, too. So he's a bit lopsided. :)
My avatar was drawn for me by an appreciative customer. I am a cat person, and I do PC work, so it really really suits me. Yes, I asked his permission before using it online as an avatar.
Occasionally I place things people have said that strike me as particularly funny into my sig. I haven't bothered making one yet since the new board though. Although I am contemplating putting "I'm not even supposed to be here today" into it, as I watched that again yesterday. :D
Seanette
07-15-2006, 11:41 PM
I use my real first name (sometimes I'm just not that creative :D ).
My avatar is my ringneck dove, Ava (renamed from Avery when "he" surprised us one morning by having laid an egg).
I haven't gotten around to picking a sig yet.
Misanthropical
07-16-2006, 12:08 AM
My avatar is Trinity from the Matrix, just because I thought she was cool.
My signature is from my some how being associated with a flamethrower. I don't really remember when that came about. The second is a quote from Trinity that MadMike said he could see me saying.
thegiraffe
07-16-2006, 01:16 AM
My name is a nickname from high school (I'm 6' tall, 150lbs, had blonder hair and freckles....)
The avatar, well....speaks for itself.
My signature? After being at the public's mercy for 4 years (as well as a product of the public school system), it struck me as funny, and so true :)
Severen13
07-16-2006, 01:27 AM
My Avatar came from a pic on My Cat Hates You.
My name comes from a character in the film Near Dark. 13 is my lucky number.
My sigs are (in order) and old saying I used to hear when I was a kid, a link to my House fanfics, and a line from the novel The Gun Seller by Hugh Laurie.
Plaidman
07-16-2006, 01:41 AM
I work at Plaid Pantry, am a man, and I like super heroes, thus PlaidMan.
THe avatar is of Foamy, coolest squirrel ever, and I wish I had the secret nature powers of Squirrely Wrath to use against SC.
Sig is a something for you to figure out. FFX is a hint. Also, I love Darkwing duck, and can't wait for it to come to dvd.
Jaden
07-16-2006, 01:45 AM
My avatar is this thing I like to call "blank space" :D
My name is a variation of my normal online name that I've used for several years now, but has some negative connotations added onto it thanks to a rogue South Park episode that I've gotten comments about, even though I hate South Park, and so I figured for the purposes of this board, I changed it by a couple of letters to avoid offending anyone.
My sig is from the song "Lone Pilgrim", and although it was not written by him, I heard it from my favourtie artist ever, Bob Dylan! :D And I figured it fit after all the stuff that's happened in my life recently :)
irateguy
07-16-2006, 03:00 AM
my avatar is the helmet of the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League
My sig is three quotes about the Bengals. In Marvin We Trust was on a sign that my friends made at the first game Marvin Lewis coached the Bengals 3 years ago that sign made the local paper the next day
My name is a take off on a sports talk show I liste to called "2 angry guys"
JuniorMintz
07-16-2006, 03:13 AM
My name has always been some variation of JuniorMintz, because they're the Minty Freshness.
I picked my avatar because I'm the JAM Master Mintz! (Thanks JD!)
My sig is from Chasing Amy. :)
ZumZum
07-16-2006, 03:24 AM
Made the screen name up as I was registering. I am "Aiode" on all my other boards (it's from the graphic novel "The Sandman"), but I decided I needed some variety.
My avi?? What can I say? Labyrinth is the best movie ever!!
Broomjockey
07-16-2006, 06:03 AM
My current avatar is Sepooroth from a penny-arcade comic. My screenname is because at work, my most common duty is sweeping theatres, and I'm getting pretty good at the not-so-ancient, quasi-mystical art of broom-fu. My sig used to be both a gripe at my managers who would make rules and then not back me when I tried to enforce them, and another line "I'm not paranoid, they are all out to get me" because customers and co-workers all ask me what to do, want me to answer questions, and so on. I haven't picked a new sig for the new boards yet though. Still working on it.
Knightmare
07-16-2006, 11:32 AM
My nickname I've used for many years for many different things. Knightmare was the name of a hacker who was notorious a few years ago. Plus it sounds cool.
Mysterious. Evil. Dark. Just like my brother. :) I, however, am not a hacker. I couldn't hack my way out of a wet paper bag. I'm not even l33t.
My avatar is from Family Guy, one of the funniest shows on television right now. I never said it was one of the best shows, just one of the funniest. The dog is Brian, and he's trying to cheer up Peter by doing the Peanut Butter Jelly Time dance. Click here (http://www.devilducky.com/media/38524/) to see the clip. Stewie rocks!
My top sig will change all the time. The bottom one will always remain, because I like what reminds me of: You can never be sure of anything. Changes happen all the time and you have to adapt to change. Or it could mean that you will always have a few irksome pennies in your pocket.
lolad
07-16-2006, 03:35 PM
My nick is an extension of LOL ie Laugh Out Loud At D.
Originally i was using the @ symbol, but stopped after it was rejected on a couple of boards and definately wasnt allowed as an email address :)
My avatar is from a book cover from a sci-fi series 'The War Against the Chtorr' by David Gerrold.
And as for sigs.
The first quote is from a friend on another board and the second from a comedian I saw on tv a while back
Becks
07-16-2006, 04:07 PM
Avatar--peach rose (one of my favorite flowers, along with lilacs)
Sig--Saw it as a legend on a picture of a gargoyle bat. I liked the sound of it, and I have found out that it fits me quite well.
Name--combination of my most common nickname and my personality (occasionally used sarcastically)
And that's the short version.
idrinkarum
07-16-2006, 04:41 PM
Name - a.) If you knew my in-laws, you'd understand why I drink rum! *pa ding* b.) It's the title of my favorite Pyrate drinking song (courtesy of The Pyrates Royale www.pyrates.com)
Avatar - Right now, it's a picture done by an artist whose name I can't remember. Sometimes, I use a picture by Thomas Canty (one of my favorite artists who did the book covers of Sharon Green's "The Blending" Series).
Sig - Usually it's my favorite quote of my favorite movie of all time ("Auntie Mame" starring Rosalind Russell) or a various quote from my favorite Romance author (Bertrice Small)
Lace Neil Singer
07-16-2006, 05:08 PM
Username: Lace is my netname; I've used it online for the entire time I've been online. Neil refers to Vince Neil and Singer refers to Eric Singer. If you don't know who they are, then use google. Basically, they're both short blonde guys I like.
Avatar: I change mine all the time; right now it's a headbanging skull doing the devil horns. I pick avatar pics that appeal to my quirky personality.
Sig: Always the same on this board; it's a quote from Stewie (Family Guy) after he meets this little girl at play group. I might change it one day if I come accross another quote that made me laugh as much as this one did.
KuzcoLlama
07-16-2006, 05:49 PM
Name: I just can't help it, I love Emperor's New Groove too much that I can pretty much quote the entire movie and point out every little detail. The name itself was given to me by my current roommates who told me I was a llama after I did the llama dance in the movie.
Sig: The first one is one of my favourite comedians. People have put some of his videos on youtube if you want to see what I'm talking about. The other one is Jack Daniels and my porn names.
Avatar: That's me as a baby! It's a cousin's birthday, I think, but I still got a party hat anyways (Care Bears!).
Spiffy McMoron
07-16-2006, 05:58 PM
Name: It's one that I use on the net for more or less everything-and it was just a name though up at random in grade 11. I am Spiffy McMoron. Spiffy McMoron is me.
Ava: It's the alternate logo of my favorite hockey team, the Calgary Flames. And now that Daryl Sutter doesn't have to worry about coaching, he won't make more stupid trades...
Sig: It's a line from a Calvin and Hobbes comic strip, in which Calvin is talking about what he wants in life when he goes up. Hobbes ends the strip by remarking that Calvin will lead a very interesting adult life. I find that I've come to have similiar attributes, for better or worse.
Dreamstalker
07-16-2006, 06:28 PM
I'm a therian (spiritual werewolf). My username is a somewhat mangled version of a name I got from a spirit guide when I first discovered I'm were.
My avatar is from Grandia 2 (possibly one of the best Dreamcast RPGs...yup, I still have my original DC system and it still works).
Sig is a work in progress :D
Fera Festiva
07-16-2006, 06:50 PM
My name is Latin for "Party Animal", more or less.
Avatar is from Howl's Moving Castle.
Signature is also Latin - it means "Don't ask me, I just work here".
LostMyMind
07-16-2006, 07:21 PM
My avatar is from Grandia 2 (possibly one of the best Dreamcast RPGs...yup, I still have my original DC system and it still works).
:ot: They ported it over to PS2. I love that game. Still play it every once in a while. I'm going to get Grandia 3 when I get around to it.
My nic is self-explanatory, I'm absentminded and nuts.
My sig kinda goes with the nic. The avatar fits the look on my face most of the time when I run into idiots. That bewildered look of ":wtf: is wrong with you?"
PuckishOne
07-16-2006, 09:35 PM
My avatar is Jayne from the "Firefly" TV series. Some crazy Canadian geek got a hold of that still and added the "A toque is a hat" part. Since I'm forever having to tell people what a "toque" is, and I'm a "Firefly" groupie, it seemed fitting.
My nickname refers to my love of hockey, my favorite Shakespearean character, and my general nature. :p
My sig - first line, as always, is Adam from "Mythbusters." :worship: The second line rotates, always a song lyric that I really like (currently from "Nothing Bad Ever Happens to Me" by Oingo Boingo).
Acolyte
07-16-2006, 09:54 PM
:ot: I bought a Jayne hat. It just hasn't arrived yet. *Sniff* Firefly is teh awesome.
Anyways. Acolyte doesn't really refer to anything in particular. I just like it.
I also use Marauder_Pilot online as well, which is a reference to my being a Battletech fanboy.
The avatar is one of my collection of Mecha avs. I've got about a dozen that I use, referencing assorted series. This one is a Smiling Jack SAMAS-a small but freakishly bad-ass suit of power armour from an RPG called Rifts.
My sig is, eventually, going to be a collection of highly entertaining quotes. It's a tad small, though...
My first initial is "S" so I decided to use ESS as my username.\
I haven't uploaded my avatar yet but I plan on using a picture of flames because my husband is a firefighter and I use that avatar for everything.
Twotall
07-17-2006, 07:50 AM
OK, bit of a geek alert coming up:
Username: It's the name of my all-time favourite character in Dungeons & Dragons (3d ed.), or in any role-playing game, for that matter. It was actually a nickname for him too, but no-one else remembered his real name, so it stuck. When that game was put on idefinite suspension, I did not want to let my little gnome rogue fall into obscurity, so it became kind of a permanent username for me.
Avatar: It's the King in Yellow, from Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. He is an avatar of Hastur (or possibly Nyarlathotep). I thought the picture looked cool, and enjoy the fact that my avatar IS an actual avatar.
Sig: I have no idea where I heard this, or if I thought it up myself. But it is a handy excuse for any situation.
Sphinx
07-17-2006, 05:15 PM
My name is from a cat I had when I was younger, she was very special to me.
My avatar changes to whatever suits my fancy!! Right now its of a fairy(I love fairies:D )
My sig is a line I found in a book i have. It seems appropriate at the moment all things considering.:)
DGoddessChardonnay
07-18-2006, 01:21 AM
I think mine is pretty easy to explain:
My screenname is a shortened version of the name I used when G owned the board, which was DGoddessChardonnay. I'll still answer to it if anyone forgets and mentions DGC.;)
My current avatar is of one of my kitties, Miss Monkey-Monk. Trust me, she looks like she's displeased pretty much all the time. I thought with the new board software, I'd switch the avi too, but I do switch it up on occasion.:p
As for the sig, it comes from the movie "Blue Collar Comedy Tour.) I simply adore Tater Salad.
Dreamstalker
07-18-2006, 01:38 AM
:ot: They ported it over to PS2. I love that game. Still play it every once in a while. I'm going to get Grandia 3 when I get around to it.
I got the PC version last week. Pain in the tail using the keyboard...I need to get a USB gamepad.
BrassCowboy
07-18-2006, 03:44 AM
Avatar: Tony Romo, QB, Dallas Cowboys, Undrafted, Eastern Illinois, 3rd year. Hopefully he can be our quarterback of the future here in Dallas. *crosses fingers*
Sig: Quote from my favorite movie, Dumb & Dumber. Lloyd was driving Mary to the airport when that conversation took place.
Name: Two parts: Brass - taken from the drink/song "Brass Monkey" and Cowboy - refers to my man love of the Dallas Cowboys.
NightWolf
07-18-2006, 03:44 PM
Name - Always been a fan of wolves. I have many pictures and figurines around the house of wolves. And of course, I've seen the name NightWolf used in Mortal Kombat and thought it was a cool name.
Avatar - From the new entrance of WWE superstar Triple H. "The King of Kings" I'm a big WWE fan and love the confidence and pride he takes in doing his job well.
Sig - Just a random quote about stupidity. I have several leadership style quotes in my cube at work, felt it only fitting to have one on stupidity here. :D

Good man getting the PC version. The PS2 one got butchered and all the fun stuff taken out. PC is almost perfect port.
SteverinoNY!
07-18-2006, 04:08 PM
Avatar - Panoramic View of Yankee Stadium (well because I am a huge Yankee fan and I love that Stadium)
User Name - SteverinoNY! - People have called me Steverino in the past and I meant to have the exclamation point be a 1, but I held shift instead and it became a ! Also I live in NY
South Texan
07-18-2006, 04:12 PM
I'm boring, I guess.
My name is pretty self explanatory. I made the avatar myself, so I can change the chili's colors or mess with the flag if I want to. Smiley will be replaced with the lone star pretty soon.
My signature right now reflects the decisions I recently have witnessed in my state.
toolbert
07-18-2006, 05:54 PM
My name has a silly story to it. When I was in college, I had a shall we say...weird group of friends (but totally cool people). Anyway, I've been very big into Tool for a while and I had a couple of shirts I'd wear now and then around the campus. Well one of my friends had asked me "is that your name?" to which I replied with a dumbfounded look. He pretty much started calling me tool and then it evolved into the current nickname/sn that I use all the time. It's gone from tool then to tools then to toolish then to toolis and now toolbert. So if you see a toolbert around there in some random game, its probably me.
As for my avatar its from VGcats, a pretty funny web comic from Scott Ramsier (sp?). He's from Canada, but I wouldn't knock him for that. You can't help where you're born from (j/k =D). Its basically from a comic about FFXI (Which I played religiously for about 3ish years). Basically if you know the size of a Galka compared to a Chocobo, its pretty damn funny.
Bella_Vixen
07-29-2006, 02:21 AM
I added a new sig, since I wanted to keep my tradition of having an Irish-themed quote of some sort.
Mixed Bag
07-29-2006, 12:46 PM
Avatar--Found surfing (imdb has it full size): Married actors Anthony Newley and Joan Collins in 1966, him playing the pool net; with corny innocent fun amongst fashionable wealthy artists in a pastoral setting in the 60s/70s, this has it all.
Name--Just something unpretentious yet connotative I came up with; seeing as I'm torn between offering genuine if redundant support and inspiring others with novel viewpoints , I felt a name with a touch of truth-in-advertising was in order.
Sig--At first my terse self thought it was too cluttersome to repeat with every message, but since it's the custom...nothing meant to be funny here; I just like old and semi-old houses and hope others will come to preserve them :yourock: instead of abandoning them for prefabricated remodelings and lookalike houses (hard to promote when you don't want to hurt the feelings of those who've invested themselves in a new look for understandable reasons, though :respect: --hence my suggestion of the behavioral technique).
CreepyCarrie
07-29-2006, 01:29 PM
My name comes from the movie 'Carrie' where that little kid goes by Sissy spacek on his bike and screams "Creepy Carrie! Creepy Carrie!"
My avatar is Leisel Matthews from the movie 'A Little Princess'
My signature is something I say often to anybody who will listen
Yossarian
07-29-2006, 10:04 PM
My avatar is just a picture my dad sent, that was not only damn cute, but accurately expresses the way I feel most of the time.
My name and my sig are both from my favorite book (although in Catch-22 Yossarian is a man, and I am female). The sig also pretty accurately expresses the way I feel most of the time (at least at work.)
My avatar is Leisel Matthews from the movie 'A Little Princess'I knew it!!!
I saw it the other day and I thought, "Hmm...'A Little Princess'. Cool." :)
My name...a family nickname. My avatar...my little great-nephew and his dog.
RavenStarr
07-30-2006, 12:09 AM
My username? No special story to that. Just thought that Raven and Starr sounded cool together.
My sig? Because I don't always think good thoughts about customers.;)
My avatar? It's a horrible picture, but that's me. Ugh:eek:
Hotelboy
07-30-2006, 01:57 AM
My username is a nickname I've reluctantly become comfortable with over the years. At the 1st hotel I worked at ten years ago, I found myself needing a ride to and from work one week because my car died. One day my Dad came to pick me up, I was in the back office having a meeting with the GM and front desk manager, and what do I hear from the lobby? "Is'm my widdle Hotelboy weddy for his wide home wit his daddy?" I never lived that down, and it eventually became a permanent nickname/story.
My avatar... is me in all my glory! I passed out in a chair after my welcome home party when I came back from Bermuda. My friends thought it would be funny to take bottle caps with marker on them, put them on my eyes so I look bug-eyed, and take a picture. My friends rule! I've been using it on Myspace for a while so figured I could use it here as well.
And I don't currently have a sig because I haven't found anything that's witty enough yet.... and rated PG.
Thanks for that explanation, finally. I was wondering who the dude on my friend's list was with the big coke-bottle glasses. :p
Tanasi
07-30-2006, 03:26 AM
My AV kinda plays two roles, I actually sent away for some x-ray specs when I was a kid and I was very disappointed damn those comic books, damn them to hell, well heck at least.
My name is of a local Cherokee village that is long gone and the state of Tennessee is named for. As I'm a very proud native Tennessean, and part injun (Cherokee variety) I chose Tanasi as my name.
I don't as of yet have a sig but since my wife tells me I'm about as subtle as an axe to the head so it will be very obvious.

07-30-2006, 10:44 PM

Lace Neil Singer
07-31-2006, 02:22 PM
I added a line from King Of The Hill, cuz it sums up sucky customers perfectly. I'm also as you might have guessed a fan of animated comedy.
zeoquean
07-31-2006, 03:37 PM
Well now I'll have to do a sig and have an avatar to do this...but until then...I'll just have to explain the name. It will be a little story...
Many years ago, (back in the earlier days of the internet...93 I think) I was on Prodigy (yes THAT long ago) and I played GemStone III (I still want to play that again, but that's not what this is about). To start that game out, you needed a kinda fairy tale-ish name. I had no idea what to put, so my sister mentioned starting with a z, since its an odd letter to start with (she mentioned z or q). I just just put down z...then I thought a few vowels would be fun, then I put the q in because my sister mentioned it before...and I just typed some more vowels, and just then rounded it out with a consonant. That's how the name started...back playing a text-based game....and I liked it so much that I kept it from that long ago.

My avatar is a cartoon a friend drew of me in my fortunetelling getup. I'm a longtime member of the SCA, a historical recreation group. It's from my group's website at www.paintedwheel.com.
I don't have a sig. That may change.

My avatar is the late Queen Pudge, house bunny with attitude! Full name: Her Most Serene Imperial Bunniness, Queen Pudge the First. I've always been a bunny person, so I must have a bunny avatar, although I may see about shrinking some of my other good bunny pics down and alternating.
My name is my first initial and my favorite colour- on sites where the name is taken already I use Purplebunny.
My sig line is a comment I read online somewhere and found amusing.
Ringtail Z28
08-02-2006, 12:38 AM
My avatar is Leo from VGCats dressed up as Solid Snake. I may slap one of my own doodles up there assuming I can make something that doesn't suck.
My sig is one of Raul Julia's lines from the movie Overdrawn at the Memory Bank.
I use Ringtail Z28 as a username because I'm a freak and own an old Z28, which I really need to start working on again.
Argabarga
08-02-2006, 03:21 AM
I'm a shutterbug, take photos of all kinds of things, and I'm a railfan too, so my avatar is just a random train pic I had on my hard drive. A Norfolk Southern SD60 w/ 2 ex-Conrail SD60's in tow leading a mixed hotshot freight through Clifton Forge, PA in 2002. All you other railfans are probably nodding in agreement, the rest of you, forget it.
My name is the one I've had since I joined CS, though I did drop "Jones" from the end, used to be "Argabarga Jones" Argabarga is just a funny name I heard somewhere, most likely I was mis-hearing the phrase "argle-bargle" and thought it was just too goofy to NOT use for somthing :D
The sig is a G-rated version of a quote someone said to me on another forum.

My Av - The "Evil Monkey" from Family Guy. Funny bit part they use.

Fashion Lad!
08-06-2006, 01:42 PM
I had a name change...
I'm now Fashion Lad! instead of Jack_Daniels. Junior Mintz renamed me, and I love it.
My signature is what my dad quoted me as saying when I was trying to fix my car... recent news says it's my AC clutch, so don't worry so much.
Monica
08-07-2006, 04:57 AM
My avatar is of my favorite tv character, Fez,aka Wilmer Valderrama from tv's that 70's show.
I don't have a quote just yet in my sig.
My name is my real first name. I am just not that creative in choosing names.

avatar// well, that's me... kissyface... with some hi-tek ms paint negative effect.
sig// i was trying to think of something witty and ... shit... and i heard that line while i was typing and thought "well, yeah, that kinda fits."
name// i was sitting around with some of my friends, all of them drunk except for me, and someone opened up a bag of red hot cheetos, to which I said, "Cheetos! FUKKIN'YEEEEEEEEAH!!" after that, whenever anyone addressed me, they'd say, "meggo... FUKKIN'YEEEEEEEEAH!" however, i wanted to keep things family oriented when choosing a name. I figured it would be pretty easy to remember.
plus, it's my okcupid name... *wink* hello, men! who's lookin' for a laaaaady? *wink*
appliance god
08-07-2006, 08:24 AM
For some reason I know way too much about appliances. Maybe it's some rainman thing..I dunno.
My avatar.....I guess that having a little boy around reminds me of the things I used to watch growing up. I always liked Grover, Loud, a little dumb, easy to fool with a heart of gold and basically harmless. Just like a good customer.
My signature, just something I heard once which I am waiting for an opportunity to use in a work based situation!

Well, I decided to change my b/c I figured you all are tired of looking at at my ugly mug. Also there's just so many avatars out there.
My avatar is pretty self explanatory I think.
COMINATCHA
08-13-2006, 04:19 AM
My avatar is a pic of me I took using my phone. I thought I was real clever managing to put in on my computer :D I know it's not all that hard to do, but i'm not all that smart when it comes to technology! Hehe.
I don't have a sig as yet, but I shall get one soon.
And my name is just some random word I chose. I was guna change it recently, but didn't want to confuse you all, so I just left it!
Battyone
08-13-2006, 04:53 AM
My avatar [which I have not used here yet] is a green/black charcoal effect from photoshop on a picture of my face, with the text Battyone on one side, and You Suck on the other. [LONG story dating back to the -=E.V.I.L.=-DC forums circa 1999] The font is the same as the lettering from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
My sig [which I also do not use here yet] is on each side 3 smiles getting pulled into a toilet by a claw with the words "Beware! Toilets are Dangerous" Dating to UDGNET forums around 2001.
My name, Battyone, comes from a play on my initials [BAT], the fact that I am psychotic a bit [batty], and thus I am the batty one. I was 11 at the time so it was Battyone1 when I first made it [my first AOL screen name back when I used AOL oh so many years and years ago]. Now, at the time I did not know that Batty is/was used in parts(?) of the UK as a derogatory term.

My signature is what my dad quoted me as saying when I was trying to fix my car... recent news says it's my AC clutch, so don't worry so much.
Hey, can I steal your sig? 'cause it pretty much sums me up right now in that department.
Bad starter, tranny mount, front end bushings, and brakes, all at the same time, for the serious lose.

Avatar: I believe they were the logos on our football teams helmets a few years ago. I just found it while looking around for some logos from my school. We're the "Fightin' Engineers" and our mascot is an elephant. I stopped trying to figure out the method behind the madness on that one.
Name: Started using when I was signing up for some automotive boards. I drive a Mercury Cougar, I graduated HS in '04, and the guy part should be self-explanatory.
Signature: Just seemed appropriate for the board.

Heh, I've seen plenty of the Colts recently. Go figure though, Carolina resident & colts fan. I'm an Indiana resident and a Panthers fan.
MadMike
08-14-2006, 06:18 PM
I'm a big fan of Iron Maiden, as well as heavy metal music in general, hence the "Eddie" avatar. In the beginning, I used the title "Heavy Metal Maniac", which later became "Heavy Metal Moderator" when I became a mod, and then "Heavy Metal Admin" when the site changed hands and Raps promoted me.
I've changed sigs a few times, but I usually use a few lines from a song that I like. My current one is from a group called Fates Warning, which probably only one or two other people here have ever even heard of. The song is called "Nothing Left to Say", which is about pursuing something that you want, but becoming completely and totally obsessed with it, to the point where it ends up no longer being "a release", but instead, "a prison." Well, that's my take on it anyway.
As far as my name, my name is Mike (bet you never would have figured that out), and while I'm quiet and keep to myself most of the times, I have my moments where I become a "Madman." Usually it's because I'm drunk, in the mood to play a prank of some kind, or both.
I remember hearing shouts of "Look out! Madman at work!" one night when I was out in the woods, getting drunk with some of my friends, by a campfire. We were ready to go, but we knew we couldn't just leave the fire burning. Hey, we were drunks, but we were responsible drunks. ;)
While everyone else was trying to figure out what to do about the fire, yours truly, who had drank his fair share of beer, staggered up to the fire and proceeded to put it out in a way that only about half of us can.
I don't know if that has anything to do with how I picked my user name, but I love that story.
protege
08-14-2006, 06:38 PM
Er, how did I miss this one?
My avatar is the MG octagon logo. I'm supposedly restoring a 1969 MGB GT. I say "supposedly" because it's taken 13 years, and I'm not done yet. I'm known as "Protege" because I drive a Mazda, and have a serious "Zoom zoom zoom" thing going on 99.9% of the time. My sig is a quote from Colin Chapman...the founder of the Lotus car company. He was explaining why his car's suspensions weren't adjustable.
gundam40
08-14-2006, 07:10 PM
My name comes from an anime called gundam (yes, the original 1979 one). The "40" part of it started when I signed up at hotmail and gundam@hotmail.com wasn't available

Just changed one of my sig lines; my new navy blue one is something Dean says in the Supernatural episode "Scarecrow." My other fave quote from that eppy, "Dude, you fugly" I thought some people might take it personally. XD
Geek King
01-05-2007, 03:22 PM
Now that I finally decided on an avatar, I can make an entry on this thread.
I chose Geek King as my name in the old days of CS because everything I enjoyed was of geekly nature: Role-Playing, LARPing, mythology, Anime, Comics, video gaming, Physics, computers, Sci-fi/fantasy reading, ect. It is particularly appropriate now, after one of my friends got a book with a gender specific geekiness-test. My other friends conceeded 1/3 of the way in when I already was beating the next closest by 150 points. I might not be the biggest geek in one particular area, but I am well rounded in all areas.
My avatar is from Phil Foglio's Girl Genius comic series, which I have been enjoying for some time now. Sadly, he has gone to a order-only distribution, so I can't get them from my local comic shop anymore.
My title comes from the turning point in my pen-and-paper RPG career when I found out I like running oddball characters after my dwarf had a bad run in with a critical hit chart. This was only added to when the party found out my cleric's god didn't allow healing spells in that version (the god was Dumathoin, for those keeping score).
My sig is self-explanitory, and very appropriate in my tech support role at work.

I've been lurking recently due to less personal time. My avatar is the face of Executor Sedriss, a Star Wars villian in the time after Darth Vader. He takes over command of the Imperial Army after the death of Vader. He is featured only in comics and novels. My name is primarily from a video game, Final Fantasy VIII. It was a good game, highly underrated.

Avatar= Kenny Rogers as played by Will Sasso on Mad TV. Some of the most gut-bustingly funny stuff I've seen on TV.
Signature= quip uttered by aforementioned Kenny Rogers during one of his Mad TV sketches.
Title= Relates to a saying management at my store has become fond of using to motivate everybody: "Shit rolls downhill." Therefore, as a third-shift goon it's my job to make sure there's no shit to roll downhill, because the day people will just jump out of the way instead of taking care of it.

Name: my first name with -san at the end. I used to take karate and it's kind of a pet name from friends.
Avi: lesse . . . my first one (step off my grill dog) was one I just found one day. The second one (Stewie looking odd) was just something I found hilarious because I love Family Guy. And this one is because I love dragons and purple things. :-D
Sig: Purple name with the friendly waving guys, just because. And the quote is something I've been feeling a lot recently.

My Avatar, is DeGeneration X (DX), from WWE
My Name is a superhero name, I used, when I was a kid
My sig, is my myspace, and also a saying, I used to hear, when I was a child
Fashion Lad!
01-06-2007, 06:27 PM
I'm bored, what the hell...
My user name is FashionLad! because JAM named me that. And I'm JAM's bitch... (says so in the user title)
My avatar is Bloo from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. I love that show, and the people that do watch say, "whenever I see Bloo, I think of you (referring to me.)" I'm slightly evil in a fun loving cute way... :D
My signature... well, I have it because it's not an exaggeration, it might even be an understatement.
reformedwaitress
01-07-2007, 04:20 PM
My name? I used to be a waitress, I'm now working a 9 to 5 (hence the "slave to the 9 to 5") so I'm a "reformed" waitress (though I miss it terribly)
My avatar is Justin Chambers (Alex Karev from Grey's Anatomy) cause I think he's jus about the hottest guy on TV and, to be honest, I kinda love his character.
My sig? A quote from Denny on the same show. It was a good one and something I try to remember. That not everyone's always going to approve and you should do what you want and what will make you happy as long as it doesn't hurt someone else. (and the bottom line? Well, it's true. I'm the birth mommy to two of the cutest kids in the world. Ask (or check the photo album) and I'll prove it!

My name is Japanese for god, my wife says that I have a god complex so I figured kind of suiting, not to mention I've been using it for a while on other boards.
My sigs are a classmate of mine having a severe brain fart and part of the chorus to a Disturbed song.
The avi is an aspen stand .bmp that I cut down to fit.
Cia is a nickname that only my parents call me - take out the 'e' and 'l' from my name and that is what's left.
The sig about England and Canada came from my DH and brother. And the clown sig is from Supernatural. It just made me giggle when the little girl said it.
Anakah
01-09-2007, 07:16 PM
The name "Anakah" was stolen from Pippi Longstockings. I was obsessed with that show as a child and I still have some of the tapes from the olden days. Hehe. Even though that show was waay before my time. I have this obnoxious obsession with h's and a's and I bascially re-spelled Anika. I also like putting "ae" together but that's a whole other subject right there.
My avatar is just a cool looking anime pic. I'm not sure which anime but I just thought it looked cool.
ArenaBoy
01-09-2007, 10:19 PM
Avatar is the old Chelsea logo from the late 80s to the early 2000s. User title is a reference to a Flaming Lips song titled the Spark that Bled. The name ArenaBoy was a nickname given to me by my friends. Sig is from Calvin and Hobbes.

Crow The Robot
01-18-2007, 07:31 PM
My name is from Mystery Science Theater 3000, my title is from that woman who called 911 about a whopper, and my sigs are from Lee Corso a college (US) footbal analyst, and commedianne, Ellen DeGeneres, and my avatar is from the movie Reefer Madness.

Alright, since I'm new, I'll share. :)
My name is from a Blue October song lyric, it's been my default forum/AIM/etc name for a few years now.
My title is because I have to say that often at my job--people don't tend to believe it the first few times you tell them.
My signature is a quote from one of my favorite poets, and it seemed appropriate.
My avatar is a picture of a kodoma, a forest spirit from Princess Mononoake, which I have tattooed on my ankle.

01-18-2007, 11:19 PM
I love this...getting to know everyone!
My name is because I couldn't think of anything better at the time I registered and it seemed appropriate for the site, but I'd like to change it to something more me. But I don't know what that is just yet. And I don't know how to change my name. (Any ideas?)
My avatar is my ex-boyfriend's dog, Pablo. He's a chihuahua, 6 whole pounds; best dog EVER. The pic is on my couch with just his face showing. One of these days I will find a better pic of him. I miss him :( Had him for 2 weeks before Christmas but the man wanted him back! Jerk.
My title is just what I always wanted to say....
My sig is pretty self explanatory. I transferred to the distribution center 7 months ago. And I like the bouncy guy. Ironically enough, I stopped into the first store I worked at (left there 3 years ago for another store). They were short staffed and the phone was ringing off the hook, so I answered it. Three times. Then I went home

Just PM your new name idea to one of the moderators or admins, and we'll be happy to change it. We're cool like that.

My name is...my name. My title is what I do. I guess years of CS work have sucked the originality right out of me
My avvie is Torvill and Dean back in 1982/3. I love love love figure skating and especially the amazing TnD. You could say I'm a touch obsessed with them.
yahurd
01-22-2007, 05:52 AM
yahurd comes from gnu/hurd the cat comes from "weapon that should exist but dont (http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/List_of_weapons_that_don't_exist,_but_should)" on uncyclopedia and the sig comes from steve barkto being a classic example, and a love of "canned firefox facts" gotta love the truthy goodness!
Hemily
01-22-2007, 01:00 PM
Nick: i used to go by HemiCuda, as i love that car, but people called me Hemi, so i usually went by Hemi instead after a while, then, a online friend, named Emily came up with how our names matched, Hemi + Emily = Hemily, and it kinda syuck to me, it's used as a character name in many games.
Avatar: Tigers are my favorite animal, on IRC, we sometimes would switch nicks to be a animal, so i was HemilyTiger, my ex girlfriend, wich also frequents that IRC channel, found that avatar, and said it reminded her of me, and i just love it, it's so cute.
Sig: Hanson is Satan, only devil spawn could come up with the satanic verses of MMMBOP, wich i think translated to english, means "hail satan", Hanson is the devil.

I changed my avatar to Calvin jumping out of his skin:D

01-26-2007, 12:36 PM
Funny, I could have sworn I'd already posted to this thread...
All right. My avatar is Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum's 4501, recolored from green to purple to match my title. (the real one's been recolored to black and, unfortunately, retired). Signature is fairly self-explanatory. And my name tells where I work:
Have
You
Had
Your
Break
Today?
Because when I first registered, because of the nature of this site I wanted something work-related, but vague enough just in case.
Boozy
01-26-2007, 01:10 PM
Finally got around to posting on this one.
My avatar is a stuffed frog my husband bought me before we got married. A chain of events occurred right after I got him, none of which I can remember now, but we determined that this frog was good luck. His name is Chaos, Destroyer of Worlds. (I like the irony...because he's SO CUTE).
My sig is a line from a song by Econoline Crush, a band that made it sorta big here in Canada and then dropped off the face of the planet. But the line stuck with me. You can apply it to life inside or outside of retail.
ISellCars
01-28-2007, 04:58 PM
I think my name is pretty self-explanatory. This is actually the only forum I've made this name. For some reason when signing up it just came to me.
I haven't come up with a sig yet, I'm sure it will be something witty and chuckle-worthy.
My avi is the best picture I could find on Google Pictures when searching for "car salesman". There was another one with a guy holding a contract with a big smile on his face, and his shadow was in the form of a devil. I was stuck between the two of 'em.

I changed mine to represent the group i belong to. Starfleet Command U.S.S. Menagha. Yes I am that big a geek and yes I do own and have been seen in public in Starfleet Uniform. Compleate with phaser and communicator. (Just for the record I am the Chief Engineer for the club and i wear the Original Series Uniform. None of that next generation voyaging deep space enterprises for me.)
Although due to life events and changes and stuff the club has approximately two active members left. And that is only once every other blue moon.:)
I have no idea why there is a frown on this post and am at a loss to remove it. I am not frowning over this.
Drakstern
01-30-2007, 05:18 PM
Drakstern is an amalgamation of the full name of a villain I never got to use in a D&D game, The Drake of Sternaius. I sometimes use the full name, but normally use Drakstern.
Current Avatar is Agent J from Elite Beat Agents, the best rhythm game evar for the DS.
