Okay, Season 5 of 24 was on TV yesterday in its entirety.

I just got back from Casino Royale.

Question:

Who would win - James Bond or Jack Bauer?

That depends. Are we talking strictly hand-to-hand or are weapons allowed? With weapons, I would give the nod to James because he's got a lot of experience in killing people with exploding toothpicks and whatnot. Otherwise, I'm not sure.

(inside joke time: But you and I know Chris would wipe them both out without looking up from his hairbrush ;) )

Sean Connery Bond and Daniel Craig Bond would smoke Jack Bauer like a cheap cigar. Peirce Brosan and Roger Moore Bonds would be a close fight, and the Timothy Dalton and George Lazenby Bond's would crap themselves at the mere mention of the words "Jack" and "Bauer"

Jack Bauer would loose to Bond. It seems that the only weapon Jack Bauer can use is a freaking pistol. Bond carries a pistol only because it is easy to conceal. If better weapons are available, he uses them. Jack Bauer could see that Bond has a T-90 tank and instead of going for the Javelin or RPG, he will try and take on Bond with a pistol. Bond would then run over Jack Bauer with the tank.

Let's not forget all those cool cars the various Bonds have had over the years...Aston Martins, Lotus Esprit, BMW Z3, Z8 et al....most of which were equipped with all sorts of gadgets. Bond's Aston DB5 had quite a few goodies--ejection seat, tire slashers, machine guns, rotating license plates...

...and then there's the fact that Bond usually straightens his tie in interesting situations. That alone should be enough :p

Not to mention that no matter what happens Bond always looks stylish and debonair, ladys want to be with him men want to be him level of style. While jack bauer can't even make it through the day without looking like he's been dragged behind a train. although Baur seems to be able to make it an entire day without going to the bahroom. ;)
