He's a border collie - labrador cross, he's nearly 2 years old, and one of the most affectionate dogs on the planet.
he's also very gentle and playful and hyper. i love my dawgie!
feel free to share your dawgie piccies!

Hey, I have no idea how to approve your pics but your puppy is very cute! :D

Just because it's one of the many things I can't stop myself from doing- I cleaned up the big pic a little... if you hate it I'll delete it. :)
Oh, and I changed you .bmps to .jpgs so they could show as a preview.

No pictures just yet, but Mr Puck and I are the proud new owners of 11 pounds of mischief called Bud. He's a 7-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix (probably with Rat Terrier) and so far he's the sweetest thing ever.

Since neither of us have owned a JRT before, any advice or handy tips would be appreciated. He seems to be housebroken, and we'll be taking him to obedience training shortly. So far he's not at all hyper, but this could be a combination of age, new surroundings, and the fact that he had 7 teeth extracted just a week ago (poor pooch!!).

When we came home last night (several hundred dollars lighter from the pet-store visit), he immediately ran around sniffing everything before promptly christening the coffee table and claiming it for the Kingdom of Bud. Ah, the joys of pets!! :D

wow Puck, congrats on the new addition! alas, i know next to nothing of JRTs, only that they enjoy hunting and are damn near indestructible! (my aunt had one on her farm that would walk with her - survived 11 snake bites!)

Awww both dogs are so cute. Actually I've yet to see a dog that wasn't cute. I'm such a sucker for animals:D I'm going to post pics of my dog Lucy when I figure out how to do it.

His name is Spot and his uber cuteness causes him to be stalked by my digi cam constantly. He's good natured about it.

Hey here's my dog Lucy. The pics are a bit blurry due to her moving while I took her picture. In one pic she is laying on a pillow and covered up with a blanket.

Overdose of cuuuuute!!! :D What gorgeous poochies!! It's good to see that other folks are just as loopy over their canine family members as we are. :)

Here's my goofy dog. She's needy- that lump under her is me, I sleep on my stomach and she stretches over my back.

Here are my buddies. Evie and Bear. Bear's the big one. ;)

Evie is a Papillon, and is bigger now. Bear is part chow and part terrier. He's about 50 pounds, she's a whopping 10 now. At the time I took this pic, she weighed about 4 pounds. Aren't they cute?! They make it hard to leave for work most mornings . . .

And here's a more recent pic of Evie -

I am having a "of they are so cute" overload! Here is one of my boys. His name is Shy - I adopted him from a woman who had too many animals (she had become a collector and the county gave her 60 days to find homes for 132 animals. The Humane Society got involved and we found homes for all of them. I took in two)

He is very fearful I - think he was abused badly at one point and still is not a sociable dog but to me he is a sweetheart. Malamue and Shepherd I think.

Night Angel, your pup looks so comfy!

Phoenix79 - love your doggies! Bear is stunning, and yes, Evie has marvellous ears!

CherryB - Shy has an expression on his face quite similar to Hopper's after he's had a meal and i'm trying to coax him to play!
He is beautiful! wish we could organise a playdate :(

Agreed!! They are growing with her as well. When she's full grown, they should look something like this doggie -

All the doggies and kitties are at the farm :( Ah well. There's 4 there at the moment:
Toto, a pound mutt, she looks like she's at least part Cairn Terrier. She's pushing 14 or 14 now, we're not sure how old she was when we got her.

Lilli:Toy Fox Terrier, so cute, so fat, so snuggly.

Leeloo: Nova Scotian Duck Tolling Retriever- just turned 1 yesterday, I'm sure she's counting down to when she can start jumping back into the horse troughs again. Weird little water dog.

Cookie: IE Cookie Monster, underwear eater extraordinaire. Out newest addition, she's a smooth coated Fox Terrier that was given to us by a lady who thought she was a Jack Russel. Um, no. Very much a terrier, she's getting better about listening after having to be dominated a lot. She's kinda gimpy, we don't know why, she came that way. We took her into the vet, and since it doesn't hamper her ability to get around, and surgery may not help, we'll let her be. It doesn't seem to hurt her, and she uses the leg. Whenever I move back to the farm, apparently my mom and sister will send her my way. Guess I'll have to get a more secure dirty clothes hamper....

One of these days I'll get pics.
