Have you ever been so tired you see things- like movement out of the corner of your eye or just weird stuff?

That's how my whole day has been. I have absolutely no love of 6am and I REALLY don't love it after zero sleep because I'm an insomniac. Except today- I don't think I'm an insomniac today. I get a one day repreive. Go me- whoo.

Ah, another one who gets no sleep. Being tired is so horrible for me. I'm a huge skeptic and slightly paranoid so being tired magnifies those a thousand times.

I've had that happen a few times. It's like you're dreaming while you're awake.

There was this one time I was driving early in the morning, and I had been awake all night. I was driving across some train tracks, when all of a sudden, I could swear there was a train bearing down on me. There wasn't actually anything there, but it damn near gave me a heart attack.

I was driving all night one night and when I finally stopped somewhere to sleep, I looked at the wall and it was covered with eyes!

I knew it wasn't real, so I just went to sleep.

Still while driving, I had the radio off and suddenly I could hear a man preaching. I knew it was from lack of sleep, since it would impossible to hear someone preaching while going 60 MPH down the road.

Sleep deprevation does weird things to a person.

I haven't seen strange things while tired, but I have said some weird shit. Last year, it was essay time, and I was only getting about 4 hours sleep for a week and a half. I'd get home from the library at 2 am, crawl into my (then) girlfriends bed, and the conversation would go something like this:

Her: How did it go?
Me: No, the ham and cheese street was cleaned yesterday.
Her:  What did you just say? *shakes me*
Me: *Waking up some* I said it went pretty good. Why?

I've learned the hard way that if you go long enough without any sleep you start having something like a bad acid trip. About two years ago while I was stressing out big time after my computer died and I lost a number of important school projects, I went for several days without any sleep desperately trying to make up for what I lost. Things started getting really freaky towards the last couple of days. It was like all my senses were just going nuts, there were strange sights, and sounds. I could swear that I was soaking wet at times even though I wasn't.

Apparently, I was REALLY tired when I wrote this because I looked at the thread title, saw my name underneath and then wondered, "What? When did I write this?"
Of course after I re-read it I remembered but geez... at least I knew at the time I was bad off, huh?

I think the very worst time I can remember being too tired I drove from the border of Wyoming through Colorado, Kansas to my home in Missouri in one fail swoop.
By the time I hit the exit to my town I was seeing things like a motorcyclist lying on the road but the road was clear. My favorite was the clump of bushes on the side of the road that I mistook for a bunch of gorillas.

When I finally did make it home and get into my bed I stared at the movie poster on my ceiling- it was Alec Baldwin holding a smoking gun (Heaven's Prisoners- I think) and as fell I asleep I watched the smoke whisping around on the poster.

There was another thread where I posted that one time driving home from the gas station, I was probably really wore out and angry, and I swore someone was waiting to cross the street. Knowing how pedestrians in this part of WI are, I slammed on my brakes because I knew that person would make a break for it anyway despite oncoming traffic from the highway....

I sat there for a second and was like "Wtf, why isn't he going?".....then I looked harder...it was a fricken fire hydrant with a flag on it! What was I on??????

For a while after I started 3rd shift, I swore I saw shadow people at my parent's house, and even nowadays I've seen shadows out of the corner of my eye. But I know that's just silly....it's just me being awake for way too long and having difficulty sleeping. Shadow people...hahahaha...

Just this morning I woke up extremely hungover and still really tired, but was meeting a friend for lunch. It was rather sunny today (which is odd) and a shadow was cast against my shades, it looked like a woman strapped to a tree. I nearly had a heart attack......it was just the shadows of the trees.....I hate shadows.
