my sisters cat died last night. Apparently he suffered a little before he was eventually put down too :( which makes this all the sadder.
He was found last night lying on the pantry floor gasping for breath and surrounded in his own filth, the poor thing had messed himself in his distress. Mum and Peter took him to the emergancy vet and was told that Minty had all the symptoms of a brain tumour and that it was most likely so developed that there would be only a small chance of him surviving the operation. So yeah, he was put down. It's really sad, because if only he had been able to tell us there was something wrong we could have cought the problem before it got to that stage, thats the one thing that sucks about having pets, they can't tell you when they are in pain.
Another thing that sucks is my family has bad luck with cats, EVERY cat we have owned hasn't lived till their full age limit/old age. The longest one cat survived was 10 and she died of a heart attack. We've had 2 die from being hit by a car, one die of kidney failure, on die of cancer (she was only 6 weeks old!) and yeah one of a heart attack, and now, one of a brain tumour! I really hope the last cats we have, Minka and Bayley get to see the ripe old age of 20 or whatever it is that cats live till!
