Nothern Virginia finally has gotten some snow! It's been snowing today but now it's switched to freezing rain. :(

Fed Gov't is open, so Hubby has to go to work. (Maybe that will change by the morning). My dad doesn't have to go to work (he works for a contractor I told hubby that Contractors like their employees more than the Fed Gov't does. ). The county school system hasn't figuredout if they want to close yet, but even if they don't, I don't think Kelly is going to school as I'm paranoid about walking in winter weather (think ice - I've fallen on black ice before and majorly hurt my backside - broke every blood vessel right above my hips and the area just above my hips all the way down to the bottom of my hips were swollen for like 2 or 3 weeks - let's just say I need Rum and lots of it to cope with the pain, so rather than suffer a panic attack of major porportions, I'll be staying home safe & sound with my daughter).

I talked to my mom this morning, she still lives in Chesapeake, and she said it was just messy there, no snow yet.

We got snow, we got about 4 inches to add to the snow we got a few days ago. It's fluffy.

After work, I made a snow angel. Tomorrow, I'm going snowboarding. :D

Omaha has gotten a good 6-8 inches of fresh snow, quiet today, but I'm expecting lots of people to need winching, tows, and jumpstarts this week

I got about 3, maybe 4 inches of snow by me.

Which means we'll probably get to watch the snowplows do their job on our parking lot. The last time they had to plow our lot, one of the plows got stuck and the other plow had to push it out of the rut.

We had some snow here in southern PA... enough to cover the sidewalks. First one of the season.

Speaking of snow, am I the only one who thinks $17.95 for a cheesy snow shovel is a bit much?

We're getting some snow a lil west of Philly. I think it stopped for the time being. We need a lot more! Come on!

Hubby can take Unscheduled Leave as he's not a Emergency Employee. He'll decide if he wants to go into work tomorrow.

The School System has finally decided to close down. whew! kelly & I will be baking brownies. Yummy!

Holy crap! That's insane! ...of course I got my snow shovel from Grandma for nothing :p

Getting back from her place was um, interesting. 3" of snow made the roads slippery, mainly because her county didn't bother plowing anything. Once out of her county, the roads weren't too bad--smooth sailing all the way home.

Hubby went into work today even though he was allowed to stay home. *le sigh* Oh well ...

I was going to take Kelly outside to enjoy the snow, but her boots are too small for her feets! Now I don't know what to do except put on my apron, have her put on her her apron and then bake brownies! YAY!

One thing I don't have to worry about is getting to work in the snow... at my last job, I lived right across the street. I'm only three blocks away from my current job.

What I do get to worry about is everyone else staying home from work... during a blizzard at my previous job, I clocked 128 hours in a week during a blizzard, including 96 hours straight. I very nearly had to clock a perfect 168 hour workweek.

Holy crap! That's insane! ...of course I got my snow shovel from Grandma for nothing :p

And it wasn't like the $17.95 snow shovel was at Macy's or Nordstrom.

ooh, yum...bring me some! We got snow on Friday and again last night...maybe an inch or so. Not enough to do anything with but luckily not enough to make driving hell...just enough to make people drive stupid :D

The speed limit is 50, the snow has melted! It's water on the road! It's not frozen! There is no reason to drive 35!!!!! Step on the gas pedal--that's the one on the right!!!!! GAAAA!!![/rant]
