Revenge Section!

I think that all of us can agree: getting justifiable, legal revenge on an SC is SWEET. I think that a "revenge" section should be added to the site where we can tell our tales of revenge that we have gotten on SCs. Not only would it be good for the person posting, it would help those of us unable to get revenge to live vicariously through those who have. ;)

Yes, thinking about revenge is a natural thing. I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I've never thought, "Boy I hope that arswipe gets a flat on the way home for screaming and cursing at my staff...".

However, condoning actual carried out revenge is wrong, no matter how deserving the customer may be. I can't quote the entire Mod team but I know IMO - this site represents the voice of retail staff of the world practically. People come here from Australia, Canada, the UK...we aren't unknown to magazines or the news either.

There are many people who hate what we represent - the truth behind the happy smiley face they are so keen to stomp all over. Some of these people go to great lengths to hack us and keep our voices from being heard.

Not only is this site to get the load off your back and know that you aren't alone - it shows the general public what working for them is truly like. To create a section as you suggested would give those sucky customers reason to believe we are the mindless, untrustworthy, drones so many of them treat us like day in and day out.

I'll send a note to Raps in case he desn't see this thread w/his busy schedule and see what he thinks, ultimately it's his decision.

This isn't the first time this suggestion was made. Each time, we inform the member that, although it sounds like a great idea, and on another site, might have a place, on CS, we do not condone revenge on our customers.

This is, first and foremost, a place to vent and commiserate, and tales of revenge don't fit into that.

But just to clarify (and maybe this would help the decision), by "revenge" I mean things like:
*a manager or other higher-up got involved and the SC was proved 100% wrong;
*an SC gets escorted off the premisis by police;
*other customers tell off the SC

what I mean is, instances where SCs have had justice dished out on them; SCs being ganged up on by what's right and are therefore proven wrong. But I guess there's a very fine line to be drawn and I guess it would be too fine a line; a section like that would have to be monitored pretty closely and might not be worth the time.

What you speak of is Karma not revenge. (And occasionally the logical outcome of a situation- like when a violent SC is escorted away by the police.)

Karma is when an SC inadvertantly runs over a nail and gets a flat tire on the way home after being a jerk.

Revenge is when you slash the SC's tires.

We have no control over Karma.

We don't condone revenge.

As I said to kellee, the best revenge on the SCs is to post the stories here where everyone can have a good laugh at them. You feel better after venting, people here will sympathize with you, and you don't get arrested for assault. :)

Karma is a section I intend for the front pages where we'll be archiving the tales. I was about to get something on there when the last hack hit us. When I stop working stupidly long shifts, I'll be working on it again, but since I now know what I'm doing, I should manage it much faster.
