Nah, should just try and keep up as best I can. But I ought to be going to bed too. Apparently for my last week on front end, they decided I needed a proper send-off. Which means four days mashed into one very awkward schedule: 2:30-11, 10:30-7, 7-3:30, and 2:30-11. So closing, daytime, opening, closing. One right after the other. And next week I start on nights, which I'm sure I'll enjoy a lot more, but it also means I won't be here for the midnight-3 AM postfest anymore, because I'll be working a consistent 11 PM to 7 AM.

Anyway. Tomorrow's the 10 AM shift, so I should be off.

I wanted those hours. I rarely get to sleep before 5 AM.

And no. It was 2:30 pm - 11 pm Tuesday, 10:30 am - 7 pm Wednesday, 7 am - 3:30 pm Thursday, and 2:30 pm - 11 pm again Friday.

So basically they're putting me on each of the major day shifts at least once this week.

Dele can negate gravity entirely in his vicinity or increase it up to 10x. With concentration, Dele can push past the 10x limit in an extremely small area (1-ft square), up to 200x.
* Dele is also capable of changing the direction of gravity’s pull. (e.g., standing on a wall or ceiling)
* Dele’s degree of control over his power is extremely fine. Dele is capable of affecting his surroundings without affecting the air around him.

Abilities: Dele has some martial arts training and knows how to handle a small-caliber handgun.
Weaknesses: Dele’s power only works up to 20-feet from him. Beyond that radius, the field of effect is nullified. While concentrating gravity past the 10x mark, Dele puts enormous strain on himself, often leading to hemorrhaging, usually manifesting as a nosebleed. Dele is also near-sighted and wears corrective lenses. Note also that because of his ability to control gravity, Dele’s martial arts proficiency has actually decreased, since anyone who tries to attack him usually ends up pinned to the floor under their own weight, tripled.

Yep, welcome aboard. Note : I am not the best roleplayer/GM in the world so..Mostly I have a general vision of where I want things to go but don't work out too much detail. Pretty much because players can wreck lots of work in a very short time..IF They are good :). I like to keep things fluid so that I can adapt to just about any situation.

Anyhow, I will work you in as soon as I can. I'll leave it to you if you want the recruitment style..or if you want to be one of the people the group has seen practicing in the Headquarters.

Edit : Yeah Omega is not a nice being...:(. There are other ways the info could have been gathered..maybe Alex was just lazy?

I figure that Dele can be in the HQ already. It would certainly explain the fine degree of control that he has over his powers. A raw recruit having that level of control-- and not having been previously spotted by Alex-- is a little harder to believe.

It may be cheating, but I don't meta-game. I just like plot. Plus, since we're doing half-freeform, I might actually need to know since I'm pretty sure Kate's going to be the main go-between on that one...

Sorry, not on much Wed/Thursday and has been a LONG week. Alpha and Omega are fully aware of each other, and what the other does. Typically one is 'in charge' during the day(Alpha), the other at Night (Omega). Neither can do anything when the other is in charge, nor can they undo anything the other has done. There are instances when both share the body equally, typically during an Earth Equinox, Earth Solar Eclipse, or in high tension times (ie one of the few things that might actually be a danger to A/O).

Now, as strong as A/O is he has one major drawback. He can not use his abilities on Mortals unless they attack him or his existence is in danger. With a few exceptions, like telepathy. Now A/O won't be doing much, they have much weightier matters to attend to then the concerns of 'mortal's :p. Don't worry he won't be a Deux Ex Machina or anything. Even Alpha really doesn't care if the Earth is destroyed.

None of the other 19 are near that bad, and are on the general power level of the group. Of course ..the last thing they knew it was 1938..so if they wake up..things could get interesting.

Anyhow, time to catch up :)

A few things I thought of to highlight how much Dele's power is actually limited:

* He affects gravity, but not momentum. That means that while he could make himself float down to the ground after jumping from a thirty-story building, he'd have to float the whole way; he wouldn't be able to plummet at full speed and then negate gravity before hitting the ground. His momentum in such a case means that he would still splat into the ground.

* As a corollary to the above, Dele can usually stop thrown objects by just upping gravity before they reach him. However, anything traveling too fast (such as a bullet, say) could still reach him before he has a chance to yank it out of its flight path. Similarly, his gravity powers don't affect energy in any really appreciable way. While he could conceivably do so if he concentrated enough, it leaves him vulnerable so that he'd rather not take the risk.

Ok..so I am going to go forward..assuming Vox is lost in some weird time/space paradox, and Ananda is so busy working on whatever that she doesn't hear any knocking :p. Note, however..that I am willing to modify the post (within a reasonable amount of time) should they let me know to :). Since no Vox, I am going to send Alexis with Rob/Quake and Alex with Kate and Samantha. Kit and Kat will just have to win it on their own lol, and nobody will be at headquarters..UNLESS somebody speaks up about maybe cutting down on one of the teams? :p

Don't get Alexis wrong, she can take some punishment. She is a "Brick" (A brick is a superhero that is physically strong, physically tough. Like the Thing or the Hulk). If somebody with just slightly enhanced strength hit her, they would most likely just hurt their hand. Bullets to her would be the same as if somebody wearing a bullet proof vest got hit. Ie they wouldn't penetrate the skin, but they would hurt. She could even survive being hit with say a rocket launcher..ONE rocket. Two would kill her (though eventually her resistance would build back up to survive ONE hit again).

The suit she wears adds a little more protection (ie bullets no longer hurt her).

While Quake..the entire US military (all the soldiers) could equip with rocket launchers, and fire at him, and he would not even feel it.

I thought it was a bit too obvious, however. Frost or Blaze would never betray each other, Alex and Alexis are not going to betray the group..Kit/Kat wouldn't betray each other..which left Johnny and Quake really. Whisper is a bit of a wild card, however. Johnny was a bit too obvious..so I thought most would count him out, and Quake was the least obvious..making him the obvious choice. However, yes normally he would not be 'bright' enough to betray the group. Don't worry there is a legitimate explanation.

There is something solid under the tile that is an illusion. So far he has not followed the symbol. Also, it just happened that her arm crossed the tile section, which is why it suddenly got much lighter.

Gah ALMOST had Kit/Kat and accidentally hit 'clear all'. Though they didn't have their clothing ... the selection of good clothing a feline female would would wear is limited (wanted something a little 'furry'). Have gotten as close with Blaze and Frost as I can.

Frost clothing is supposed to be 'shinier' (if that makes any sense sort of metallic looking), and the undershirt of Blaze is supposed to be a red chainmail style shirt. Edit : Also no yellow in Blazes clothing at all, not sure how that got there :(

I have a nice big sewing desk, so I just manhandle it around until it's finished. Usually with the larger quilts I can only do so much each day without hurting something. It is a carpel-tunnel like pain, and I have braces I can sleep in if it gets really bad.

it's a wee bit cool where I'm at, and it doesn't help that I'm sleepy. If your batting is anything like what's in my current comforter, then it is undoubtedly warms. possibly even floofy and squashy, so you don't even need a pillow.

No, remember this is an 'alternate' earth, and a few things will be different (even if slightly) No..the mistake was the first pod found. Had 'Project I' on it..which would make that being One, not the plant female. So now he is Two. I admit my mistakes when I make them. :).

The suits...

They serve the same function as Gemini's suits, a small layer of extra protection the equivalent of having on a full body suit of Kevlar. It provides flight also. Now..it has a one time 'charge' to change how it looks..and as soon as it is put on the wearer will know. Whatever the wearer chooses the suit to look like (it will however always be a full body suit) that is what it will look like, but it will be 'stuck' like that. You will need to get a different one if you want to change looks again.

My other gaming group is gearing up for the end of our game... we have to fix the broken 'god' of ending things-- he became entropy in a war a longass time ago instead of what he had been, and we need to fix that, on top of ... uh... basically upending the established order for the last 3000 or so years. But the End is more important-- if we fuck that up, everything on Terra is done, gone and stuck a fork in. This is bad, btw. :p
I've been gone 'cuz I had to rework a bunch of what essentially amount to Charms, Spells, and action-moves... usually people who'd play this game wouldn't make their own, much like you're not supposed to make new charms in Exalted... it's awesome.

Hehe, gun wouldn't put it out of commission anyhow, unless it is of the 50 cal or higher varliety. The emp devices are a bit bigger/sturdier then the guns. I think I will describe them..

Imagine a 8" tall hexagonal base, entirely made of metal..thick metal. If you've ever seen The Incredible Hulk which has "Abomination" in it..the sound generators they used on the Hulk would look VERY similar. Just add the 8" metal base. A lucky/crack shot MIGHT short it out with something smaller, but it would be rare. It actually would be behind him, carried by a few of his undead minions...who would just set it down behind him. Which means there is now quite a few undead between the group and it.

Now..90% of the undead are the normal zombie type..ie headshot/decapitation/etc will stop them. Any near Alexander, or that he directly takes control of..short of disentigration (spelling?) they will not stop.

Guh. Stuff is going. Pulled some crap stuff out my butt, and it looks like I won't quite bomb the presentation. The class... eh, prolly a D, I sucked it up on the homework (late/late grade... that's a story in and of itself, including what the prof eventually did that did not help me... :cry: ) Also, German is crazy. Did you know that Germany has actually had to mandate orthographical reforms recently? I do, and now I know why. Hint: what happened in England and France did not happen in Germany. Yeah, Ananda knows she killed someone-- it registered when she heard him scream, and she 'felt' it a bit when she lashed out... She just really doesn't want to think about it right now, and not only will she have the breakdown later, I've decided to set up a mental resilience chart for her now... depending on circumstances, she may break down and freak out immediately/shortly thereafter when she kills someone (by accident or not...) in the future. Probably more easily now.

Yes, teh, I am. I <3 cowboys. Is why one of the main characters/main couples includes a "real" cowboy (he's from the time period but hates the work and can't even ride a horse--which, granted, he doesn't need to, but still...)

I think she's just in shock honestly. I mean, she just bounced a heavy medkit...somehow...there was huge explosion, two bodies, and now a spirit/presence/thing. It's shock.

Between a lack of energy from night shift (which I've quickly learned I'm not as suited for as I originally thought) and a decreasing interest in Rob's character, I haven't been terribly active lately. I'm going to suggest we just go with him staying on-base and in the background for the most part, so he'll be there for things like defending HQ from a direct attack, but you won't be waiting a week for me to post all the time.

I actually like the idea of him working on the watch/suppressor for Quake. He'd like to sit down and find out what it was Quake was trying to do, and figures he might as well ask him.

I may eventually introduce a different character to play primarily instead, but he'll likely be nearly as much of a non-combatant as Kate.
