Floating folks is easy with Dele around. If he can keep in contact with them, he can render them weightless. Then it's just a matter of applying enough force to propel them to the roof.

It's one of those eerie quiet ones. I've tried listening. :p All I can tell is that it doesn't have a name on it, probably a creepy cheepy knockoff. The lockers have a mishmash of locks on them, probably because people replace and leave them behind. The locker system is not consistent, even in a given building! .______. As far as I can tell, it's a slap-on-the-wrist look at what you're making us do fee.
EDIT: yeah-- I know right? like no one's caught on to the "they can make copies of the key" thing... :no: I've encountered that so many damn times here, it must be a small-town/small-state thing. Next closest thing to keeping your doors unlocked at night. gah.

Your group never has encountered 'Crisis' and he was not part of the Project Double X..so they would not know what Crisis can do.

However, Alexander fears Crisis..he can't die OR feel pain..put two and two together.

I like a convoluted plot..backstabbing, double crossing, etc..but I always fear I make my stories a bit TOO convoluted. Everything is set up way in advance (though I adapt if the characters do something to stop something), but if I get too out there , just slap me :p

Name : John Van Helsing
Code Name : Stalker
Description (Besides dressed like a cowboy :p) : Black hair, Dark Brown Eyes, 6'3, 168 lbs.
Powers : Goes unnoticed for the most part unless unconscious or wants to be noticed. Where as some people can use things as a weapon, he has a more literal power. He can turn any object into a weapon..literally..an orange can become a Sai, etc..the size has to be within reasonable bounds but the material of the weapon can be anything. He can change a wooden broomstick into a diamond sword if he so desires. Also, he can not make complicated weapons, like guns..crossbows etc.

He likes to carry a lot of different weapons made of different material, because using his power to change an item does drain a bit of him..and he is used to dealing with a variety of different creatures.

Edit : Oops forgot the two most important 'abilities'..one because of his bloodline. He can communicate with the spirit of Victor Van Helsiing, which has a vast variety of knowledge, and helps bring about the second ability. He can find the weakness or way to destroy just about anything. So far the power has not worked on Alexander (not for the lack of trying either), but every other creature or person..he knows how to destroy them..even if he himself can not do whatever it is.

How to explain this.
Ananda's been in a bad place lately. Now it's a weird place. Not bad, not good either. That's leaking out right now-- yeah it looks a bit unstable, but it's along the lines of 'liking to watch shit blow up.' Vaguely self-destructive, but mostly just destructive/cavalier. She's asking Lagrange the (maybe?) obvious: should she use her own power to try something on Crisis.
My current idea is changing the air in his lungs to laughing gas. Needless to say, she feels like the others (who f*ing matter) in the room should agree on it. It is incredibly easy for this to go wrong normally.
Super, super glad that Ananda's not one to rely on her mutation.

Crisis' power is not something he controls himself, and is random. So I have a little chart..and make rolls on it. Everything from a 1% increase to 10000x the normal effect. Ananda's power was magnified 3250x. Now OoC that isn't as powerful as she THINKS it is, most of what she is experiencing is her mind trying to make sense of what it encounters..and it is not correct or accurate. However, to her mind that is exactly what is happening.

In reality the 'whole universe' she sees is Crisis' body, with the creatures/etc being germs and the like. Her mind is just not prepared for the amount of power, and is misinturpreting.

EDIT: ball's in your court. Her intent, in case you didn't get it, is to find Crisis, and chill him out. She thinks she might be able to do it, and she has no idea what the hell is going on-- kinda missing that this is amplification, a bit. That "needed Crisis" bit was as in "needed to find him," or, alternatively, "needed to deal with him." Not the "like a drug" thing. Not yet, perhaps... eh.

Yeah, she's changed a bit. Trying to be a team player, and not the typical, "kill first, forget about the questions" assassin that she was trained to be, ever since she had to fight every finely-tuned impulse in her brain to not murder her brother. Thel found her humanity that she'd buried in rage after years of being tortured. She's seen there is some merit to finding other solutions, to say the least.

She might even be starting to like a few of her teammates. I'll let you see if you notice the difference in how she addresses Ananda this time.

Well long story short: no matter what I do, it seems everyday turns into a huge screaming fight with the kids that ends with everyone crying. I'm getting really tired of it.

Today this culmenated in my 3 year old son running away with his autistic 4 year old sister down the street without telling me. When I found them, he said "we're going to find a new mommy"

Well there is good news and bad news about what is going on with Crisis. Good news is..it is not fatal. The bad news is, all the tests come up that there is no cure..the one person who might know one is probably not going to be forthcoming about it. Crisis will slowly lose power..and eventually become almost human (ie skin color, eye color will become more 'normal') ..and MAY even become full human. It was a mix of antimutant material, nightshade, nanobots, and arsenic. It was meant to kill him, but the other DNA he received saved his life.

Unfortunately all kids will push the boundaries to see how far they can go, it is human nature. It takes the patience of a saint to raise children, you are stronger then I am that is for sure.

I wouldn't say my home was abusive; my mom just yelled really. She's a good mom. But we all have our own personalities and they clash. A lot in the case of her and I. Don't give up. It's probably just a phase with your kids.

Yeah, water helps-- and I would have been in bed hours ago had I not been drinking as much-- but it still tires me out. Also, I'm guessing Crisis wouldn't want to take the very real possibility that Ananda could make the situation worse in her attempt(s) to break up some of the nasty stuff? Organic chem is nasty business, and body-stuff is even worse.

If you don't like what I have done Kanalah..it can be a one time thing. Here is what I am thinking...it's sort of like aquaman's power ..only not just in water..she can call on animals for help now. She can't really communicate with them..exactly..just give them general impressions. Keep in mind that they are still wild, and while they won't hurt Sam (unless something else is going on)..they can still be dangerous.

Also..since she has sensed the aquatic animals, she can turn into them. Dolphin, Shark, and various kinds of fish were nearby.

Bwehehe. I've been thinking about other tricks Dele can pull with gravity besides his new not-quite-telekinesis.

True story: I had the idea for that a while back. I just felt it'd make him seem overpowered if he could exhibit it straight from the get-go.

Likewise, Dele's gravity-enhanced strikes were something I had in mind, but now get to show off. :D

Heh, he can go flat out against Amy. Because of her 'curse' she can take it. She is a lot better trained, because most of her life she has had to fight to survive (not just practice, etc..but literally to survive), then most. Frost and Blaze have skills, but not to her level. The bonus is if you do manage to hurt her, she can heal herself lol.

Edit : Amy Whitehand is fashioned somewhat after a 'super cleric'. A healer, fighter, tough, undead don't want to mess with her, etc...with some curses and gifts that most don't normally have.

Yes..lol. It is a roleplay I came up with when I was playing Everquest...a lifetime ago. He's been..modified some since then (no longer a werewolf for instance), but he is one of my favorite creations..that I never actually got to roleplay in anything but Everquest.

I have a set look for him in mind, his attitude and actions..everything.

Heh..um the crowd thing is one of the reasons I am most nervous about.

I know it will be boring, and totally offtopic..but here is the original story..:p.

First background. In Everquest you started with just a first name..then anytime after level 20 you could get a second name. Mytical was an elven enchanter..good at crowd control..but that is digressing. At level 24..Enchanters could get an illusion - werewolf. I couldn't think of a second name when I got to level 20 .. so I put it off a bit. As luck would have it..the day after I got the illusion werewolf..Everquest had a Halloween special event. Werewolves and Jackolanterns in the Commons (one of the zones they had). So I sort of .. mixed things to come up with how 'Stormcrow' was born.

If I remember it is a long story..so I am going to go get some water and do an update first. Just in case you all want to stop me now :p.

I was both nervous and excited about tomorrow. It would be my naming day. It was a momentous occasion, my 80th season. It would take place in the West Commons, and most of my friends and family would be there.

I was cleaning out some rather large rats from a basement, for one of the local shopkeepers..when the bell sounded. The cryer came racing through the city, announcing that fell and foul beast were attacking the commons. I tossed aside the last rat, and set forth to check out what all the commotion was. I had not journeyed far when the first beast struck. It was all claws and fangs.

Gathering my wits, I sent out a stream of scintillating colors, dazing the beast. Quickly I casts my various protection spells, and readied for battle. Meanwhile I could see the beast. Half man and half wolf, all except the eyes, there was nothing there..the beast was mindless and perhaps even souless.

As much as I hated to admit it, I am no fighter..and the moment I struck the beast..it emerged from its dazed state. The two of usclashed in the moonlight, steal and magic against claw and teeth. The beast managed to pin me, and tried to snap at my face. I managed to deflect it, barely, but its teeth managed to graze my throat. Fate was kind to me that night, however, as my dagger sunk into its flesh..and it was still.

The rest of the night was rather uneventful, as I wised up and gathered a band to face the creatures. Not a single other scratch was landed on me. We had sent the creatures fleeing back to the darkness from which they came..and I thought that was the end of it.

The next day..due to the events of the previous night, the naming ceremony was postponed. I was disappointed, but understood. I had waited this long, what was a few more days? Besides I had yet to chose my 2nd name. Feeling adventurous I wandered into the West Commons, not noticing it getting dark, to see if any of the creatures were left. I was fully prepared this time, my spells at the ready..or at least I thought I was prepared. As the moon rose, a storm started to move in...and something started to boil in my blood. I could feel..something in me trying to get out. As if in answer, the storm intensified..almost as if the gods were angry. The pain was intense, and I could feel the beast within slowly taking me over..the storm worsened..the wind pushed me to my knees. Almost as if the storm was trying to destroy me, so whatever was inside me would not be set free. Lightning struck all around, the wind howled, and the rain worsened.

NO! This will not be! I fought against the storm, against the beast within, and against myself. Slowly I rose to one knee, the wind howled more fierce, as if to say "Stay down, and parish as you should." It almost succeeded in putting me back on both knees. I rose a bit more, now standing head bowed, the lightning missing me by mere inches, the beast in me raging for freedom.

"NO!" I yelled as I raised my head.."I am in control!" For a moment the storm and beast inside both reached their peak...both warring to destroy me..and both failing. I had won..barely. "Let it be known, to all..on this day Mytical has passed..and proclaim to the lands..that Mytical Stormcrow has been born!" with that final defiant primal scream..the storm subsided, and the beast inside me was quelled. I was master now, and I could take the form of a werewolf when and as I desired..keeping my wits and abilities about me.

Funny thing is, besides the timing and the naming ceremony (there is no ceremony) it was pretty much true. Lol. Everquest was a bit .. odd. Anyhow, that is how I got the last name Stormcrow.

Well ok the last part is really really embellished..yes there was a bit of rain on the day I went to buy the scroll to memorize..but meh .. its a story :lol:

Our power went out. So, understandably, we started slacking a little. But the majority of my co-workers stopped working entirely, and then began b!tching when the managers made them get back to work. Course, none of us were happy that reopened, but whatever.

As for the tills, another cashier and I had 5 tills to count, and then had to do a safe count. Took an extra hour and an half to finish all of that. And one till was -$53 due to a return, and the safe was off $5. >.<

Not until you get to the center of the facility Kara, and that is kind of a surprise..so mostly soldiers with normal weapons, maybe a few 'enhanced' people (increased strength, agility, etc) and a few war machines..but nothing that is even a major challenge..until the center is reached.

I honestly have no clue. THe last time it was out for this long was because some kid got drunk at 2 in the afternoon and took out the power pole on the corner. THat took out our whole neighborhood.

This time apparently it was something about 3 houses down, because that's where the trucks were parked trying to fix things. Just our street was out. Across the street was fine and the street behind us was fine.

We used our wireless modem to look up to power company's website to report the outage on the ipad. They didn't have a number, only a "If there is a power outage in your area, please feel free to notify us by email at blahblah"

If you want more time to research any poison... let me know. There's plenty of stuff that modern medicine would have issues dealing with... heavy metals for one. There are things that bind to fat and other vital tissues that can't be gotten rid of easily...
