I keep thinking about continuing, but haven't been able to do so yet. I was hit really hard by the news. I'm better today emotionally, but just feeling tired all over.

Oh I hate spending 5 hours in the pedicatric ER

5 hours in ER? What happened?

My son decided to whack his sister in the face with a plastic toy bin. He knocked one of her two front teeth back.
I had to wait for hubby to drive home from work and then take her to the clinic, who gave me a referall to the pediactric ER which is waaaay on the other side of town.

So I had the pleasure of hanging out with a screaming, flailing, nonverbal child for 5 hours while we has exams and consults and finally had to have the tooth pulled. Then I was so exhausted that I could hardly carry her back out to the car, and she was upset about not getting to keep one of the ER toys, so she screamed and flailed all the way out to the car, and screamed all the way home.
I feel like such a bad mom because all those people saw me struggling with her.

Aww... I've been to the ER with my kids plenty of times for lots of things (none of which, thankfully, were ever serious). And don't feel like a bad mom. Anyone with children will understand. Any of them without kids, well, they'll get their chance eventually. It happens to all of us parents at one time or another.

I just always feel like a bad mom since that's what my family says because she isn't perfectly behaved 100% of the time. They don't seem to understand that she's only 4 years old, and she's autistic and mostly nonverbal.

Daughter is doing better today. She's happy as a clam since she's on a soft foods diet and it includes many of her favorite foods. Jello for breakfast made her day. The anti-pain meds they gave her in the ER also have an amnesia effect, so she doesn't remember anything about the visit at all. My arms are still sore from wrangling her, but I should be back at 100% tomorrow.

Once we hear from everyone about waiting, I was wondering if I could write a post about what happened overnight?

Oddly enough, my character was supposed to be an antihero. That's why her moral compass was a bit skewed at first. Her entire reason for joining Section 3 was to learn better control of her powers, take whatever (and whoever) she could to.. some sort of end. Possibly declare war on "normal" humans. She had been interested in trying to exploit Ananda's powers at one point. But then... yeah, things didn't quite work out like that.

I am working on an update, but no..Whisper only really has telepathy (besides her dream power, and the power she got from the dream to convince people to do things)..but it is so weak that only an empath like Kate can pick it up. Which is why she chances talking to Sam.

Edit : You will not find a more empathetic person though lol, she may even be TOO nice.

True Name: Charles Moore
Country of Origin: United Kingdom
Nickname (if any): Houdini (he doesn't use it himself, but was instead given it by frustrated prison guards after numerous escapes)
Powers: Mentally-projected illusions. His illusions can use any sense, but because they're mental projections, they have a limited range and cannot affect technology such as video cameras. He also carries a cane that contains a powerful miniaturized holographic projector inside, which can pick up on what he's visualizing, allowing him to create physical illusions to use against cameras and such, but these must be solely visual. His only offensive capability is to push the projector to it's limit to create a burst of blinding light, but he can only do that two or three times before running out the projector's power supply.
Abilities: As a con artist, he's a smooth talker, and has become rather good at picking locks. He can defend himself with his cane to an extent, but couldn't really stand up physically against more than the average thug.
Weaknesses: His powers have a limited range, and are difficult for him to use without being able to see his target. Furthermore, unless he has his cane, he can't affect non-living targets at all, and even with it he can only create visual projections. He also has a more mundane use for his cane - he was shot in the leg during one attempt at escaping the authorities, and now walks with a limp and can't run more than a few steps at a time. He's also effectively out on parole, and is being watched very closely.
Description: Tall, thin, with long black hair. Overall, think Toguro the Elder from Yu Yu Hakusho, except less feminine and creepy.
Apparent age: Hard to tell, guesses range anywhere from mid-20s to early 40s.
Real Age: 30

Ever since discovering his abilities, Charles has used them for personal gain, typically at the expense of others. Half because of the money, and half just for fun. After accumulating a record of thefts and con jobs so long that even Danny Ocean would be impressed, he was finally caught and imprisoned. Only to find an all new kind of fun in trying to escape - attempts which were often successful, or at least came close enough to be troublesome. Finally, the prison system got tired of the difficulty and expense of keeping him put and decided to make him Section 3's problem.

Oh, it acts like the normal suits..hidden until activated. Remember how Alex/Alexis activates theirs? Same way..you have to push a hidden button on your chest, and the armor expands from it and covers you. Once it is on, you have to mentally 'disarm' it, and it returns back. Of course when not active it doesn't offer any protection or such.

Which is why Alex designed the suits the way he did (besides to conceal his and his sisters identity when 'Gemini') to make it easier to get into and out of it. Stopping to change in and out of it would be a bit much.

Crisis
Well, he recently went through some changes mentally hehe. Crisis originally was not for or against humans any more then mutants. All he wanted, all he desired, was to turn the world to ash. He only remembers a little of his premutant life. He remembers his family, who Alexander killed and zombiefied. He doesn't remember his name before that time, and he wouldn't have a name at all except Alexander called him Crisis and he liked the name.

Now he is still .. adapting to the physical changes in his mind. Still learning to cope, and still changing his personality. So far for the better (but remember it is almost impossible to tell what the changes Ananda did are).

His appearance is light red skin, with dark read hair (we are talking really dark), slightly yellow pupils. He doesn't know what he likes or doesn't like..yet (as mentioned his favorite thing was destroying anything and everything he seen).

Nickname (if any): Sarlon

Powers: Flight (wings only...feathered), energy manipulation, and minor "magic" use...mostly fire surrounded.

Ability : the "fire" she can form is sometimes little better then a small camp fire, but when pushed can rage like a fire storm.

The flight she has can be maintained for longish periods of time, mostly using thermals to keep her aloft.

Energy manipulation is mostly using the natural energy that surrounds a person or object and making it move....kinda like telekensis. used properly she can use it to heal some injuries.

Weaknesses: not many, but using energy manipulation to much drains her making her tired very easily.

Description: Long jet black hair falling to her waist always kept in a dancer's braid. about 5' 10" tall and VERY slender. a single long scar apperently very old running from above her left eyebrow down across the bridge of her nose ending just below her chin on the right side. Usually seen wearing comfortable clothes loose across the chest area to accomodate her wings which she makes no effort to hide or be ashamed of, but can fold them down around herself much like a cloak. Usually seen eating almost anything she can get her hands on, claiming she needs to eat often to keep from draining to much of her own energy.

Apparent age : 20...maybe mid 20s in apperance.

Real Age: unknown

Ok .. this can be interesting. Just have to figure out how being around Crisis (who has increased everybody's power by his presence) will affect her.

She'd say that the idea that Alexander named him doesn't quite sit right with her, but if he's fine with the name, then that's good. Does he want a more normal name too?
if so, she'd be trying to find a name that Crisis likes, suggesting names from baby-name books and such.
Of course, Myt, you only know where Ananda and Lagrange are at this point... workout room? Probably.

I can always pretty much see the worlds I create, even if I can't always put it in words. I can see every npc I have, even the random animals on the street. Just wish I had the talent to let others see what I see in my minds eye.

My older brother can write programs that can do almost anything you want it to do...and has been doing so since 1988.

me...I draw pictures by words, I create worlds and cultures, and animals with words.....but I can't draw a stick figure to save my life.

People tell me I can transport them, let them see some of what I see..but I get so nervous while speaking..I think they are just being nice.

Sit down with plenty of paper, and start writing. don't think, don't analize, write in pen so you can't earse, just write.

when you run out of paper or ideas, then go back through what you have written and THEN you can pick it apart.

Ok a decision about the other dimension should be made. Obviously the dragons here would not be idle while whoever goes on a quest to recruit help. Yet, if another solution is thought of while whoever was away..the journey would be a moot point :p.

It's a side quest, and if nobody wishes to go it is not critical (Amy will do it herself). Mutant abilities would not be present during the quest, but they would be used to determine what 'class'/skills/etc would be had. Yes it is a fantasy setting, and just something fun for a small change of pace.

Dele - Elementalist specializing in Air
Charles - Mage Specializing in Illusion
Sarlon - Sorceress Specializing in Fire.
Kate - Cleric (though her powers would lead more toward Psionic)
Sam - Druid
Thelassa - Elementalist no specialty
Ananda - Mage specializing in alteration.

The npc's besides Amy will not be going, they will be trying to limit the damage done here.

Mages can learn more spells per day, but once they memorize a spell they are stuck with that spell. Sorceress can cast any spell (as long as they are powerful enough to do so) at any time. Also, they tend toward more offensive spells, and mages more 'utility' spells. So mages are a bit more versatile in WHAT they can learn (and how often they can cast), but a Sorcerer is more versatile in the fact that they are not limited by what spells they have ready.

Edit : Waiting to see if Kate or Charles seeks out Johnny or Alex.

Neither technically. Sort of a more generic version. As the rules, dice rolls, etc are a bit more difficult on a forum style game, unless we do it via skype/etc. It would be closer to AD&D. Going for a more 'run and gun' style (ie quick start up, not so many rules/regs)

REALLY long story that starts a decade ago....but long story short....its alway given me trouble...about a month or so ago i was helping someone move and while walking heard/felt a loud snap, since then have had pain like someone is sticking dull knives into the tendons around the knee.

One problem is the 'female plate armor' is a joke, and the male versions don't match what I have in my mind. Yeah I actually started drawing when I was 3, and took art classes all through school. Of course understanding color theory helps me pick out fabric.

I still scribble a little here and there, mostly animal pictures though. For some reason I had a ton of trouble trying to sell $10 drawings but no problem selling a $250 quilt.

How mages and sorcerers (arcane casters) differ in my world then most.

The power to cast a single spell would turn a caster to dust, so they need a catalyst to help diffuse this. Most use crystals, the purer/bigger the crystal the more strain it can remove from the caster. The higher level the caster, the more efficiently they can use catalyst also. No words or gestures need be made however. Though such can be catalyst to reduce the strain.

The lower the spell, the more the strain can be defused also. Each spell cast does have a level of drain, depending on the level of spell (if you need a spell list just let me know :p ). Arcane casters usually carry small gems in a pouch to keep the major stones they have from having too much strain put on them and cracking/breaking. 1 small stone will turn to dust for each level of spell cast. Such stones are cheap, and can be of poor quality (think about 1silver a piece at most).

Don't worry Amy is rather..wealthy in this world and will supply just about anything you need (magical items besides stones however not so much).
