They reason they are called 'grey elves' is the color their skin is. High elves are the 'nobility' of the elves, normally very stuck up/elitist.

elves are according to the PHB considered "high elves", grey elves get their own catagory, as well as wild, wood, and drow.

Just look up your class (ie Druid, etc) and you can find out what spells you can cast. As for skills/talents/etc .. I am still working on that :P Pretty much I figure all the normal skills like rope climbing, etc come with the bodies..if a skill makes sense for a character to have then they have it (ie spellcraft for the casters, etc). Not wanting to delve into characters too deep, mostly meant as a one shot side quest for fun.

I'm a sorcerer specializing in conjuration spells correct? (fire spells are conj I believe).

then spell focus conj, skill focus concentration, spell craft, and vatic gaze as a feat if I can have some say? vatic gaze is either in complete arcane, or PHB2.

Don't see why not. Oh and your fire spells count as half their normal level for strain (though not damage, range, etc) so you can cast them twice as often. However..any water or ice related spells (as I mentioned) you can not cast.

Edit : Sam and Ananda still have to speak up about which way they want to go :p. Since this will take at least seven days (most likely more..)) a base update is incoming :p

I've been playing forms of D&D since first edition, stopped playing for a long while when I moved out of florida, but then found an incredible group that I've been with since I moved to college town.

My current crew ditched out on Dark Heresy-- which, I am proud to say, I did not flinch first. :D :D :D I am so not medieval it's not even funny, I'm totes Enlightenment/Reason atw... :cry:
BUT.
We have a newb. With bewbs. Yes, friends, we have found an elusive girl gamer, and that's why we ditched out on DH-- simply wouldn't do to toss her into the GrimDark straight from a lackluster DnD existence (yes, I know full well the awesome that can come from DnD, but so often it does not, and she was one of these).
So, we decided on Exalted. :guitar-riff: FULL CIRCLE.
Not as stupendous as EK, but it'll do. :angel:
I managed to get 5/4/5 in my primary attributes as an Eclipse and still have a balanced character. :3 This pleases me.

Heh. I could always pull out Agent Orange (as it sounds, she's a hacker/drone-r) and we could play via gmail or oovoo... I have my own camera back... and if one of you were willing to run, my nights (aside from game nights) are free... until I find a job, if nights are required at all. After all, my class schedule only asks for past noons two days a week-- So Tuesday might work!

History of the fantasy Dimension, as explained by Amy Whitehand. (Keep in mind that the gods I name are a bit of a mismash some from one game, some from another, and their history/personality/etc WILL be different from what some might know)

AO, the All Father, one day got bored. He was the only being in existence, and lonely, so he decided to make this world, and the other gods. The first two he made were Paladine and Takhesis (hope I am spelling that right lol). The gods of the dragons..and the first creature was the dragon. The next was the elf, and on an on..one of the last was the human.

At first everything was good, Tak and Paladine were even 'an item'..and the gods worked together in unison. Then the first sin came..jealousy. Tak become jealous of how close AO and Paladine were, and her heart started becoming black. ((remember most ancient societies seem to blame the female for everything lol)). To make a long story short, several of each race became corrupted, turning into various other things (goblins, drow, etc) and a god war was started.

Eventually the forces of good defeated those of evil, and drove them underground. Tak was locked away, but appears to be able to communicate with the evil dragons at will. They seek to free her from her prison, and bring her to the mortal realm..where she would be near unbeatable. They have a portal which if they can ever manage to unlock, she would be able to bring her full god powers with her..where as most gods get weaker when in physical form.

For eons the two forces have clashed, the worshipers of Tak would get close to freeing her and the forces of Paladine would stop them. Then came Sparrowflight. A magical living castle that can travel through dimensions. With it the seven lords of Sparrowflight. A force for good, they have pretty much eliminated the worshipers of Tak, and forced the evil dragons to flee to the four winds...

However, the balance seems to be shifting, and the evil dragons are starting to return..and apparently the groups dimension is somehow the key.

Ananda, understandably, is a little overwhelmed by this. I mean, all the ontological questions! I mean, holy shit! This is like a philosophy major's wet dream-- or high octane nightmare fuel... :lol: Depending on how hot it was during the day, she might be in her room cooling off/sleeping it off. >_>
(I imagine that Amy states in no uncertain terms that this shit happens and is as real as people, much like in DnD...)

Surprisingly for a desert town, it is not very warm. May have something to do with the Goddess they worship :shrugs:. Yes Amy has .. a special connection that has allowed her insight into all this. Including, but not limited to...first hand witnessing of said events.

Guess spell lists would be good for me to post. Now, I am leaving it a secret (till you discover on your own) exactly how powerful each of you are..so trial and error will have to be used to discover what 'level' spells you can cast.

Note: If you can not cast the level of spell it will just not work, won't endanger anybody. Also only arcane (not divine like Druid Spells) have to use catalyst, because whichever god or goddess decide which spells to give and how often they will answer.

The nine lords of Sparrowflight.

Malfallus - Paladin of Paladine. The 'High Lord' of Sparrowflight. Though not the strongest of the lords his mere presence commands respect.

Lastriana - Paladin of Paladine, Bride of Paladine. Sister to Malfallus and second in command. She is not dangerous herself (or not near as dangerous as the others except maybe Amy), but the fact that she is married to a God of the Realm bears a lot of weight.

Ballustria Kreights - Warrior. There are some who disagree, but some who say that Baller (ballustria's nickname) is the most dangerous of the Lords. Standing 6'6", with skin like obsidian it is rumored he is not only immortal, but can not even feel pain. His strength is great, about as strong as a Storm Giant. Skill wise, however, he is the LEAST skilled, relying on his tremendous strength and indestructibility. In another world he might be called Quake (:p). He is very clever and intelligent, however.

Merlin Kreights. Mage/Warrior If people thought it odd that somebody with dark skinned was related to Malfallus and Lastriana, they really thought it odd that a Dwarf was. Technically he is half dwarf, and a half brother to Malfallus. Originally he was about 5' tall, but due to being subjected to powerful magic he stands now over 6' tall. He has the increased mass of a Dwarf, however, meaning he is very strong. He is never seen without his trusty two headed battle axe, but rumor has it he is a mage without peer. Some say he, not Baller is the true person to fear of the lords.

Sermator Rawls, - Mage. The youngest and most untrained of the Lords, yet the other lords call him Sir. Even Malffallus, some suspect it is because of his name. Still a force to be reckoned with.

Broven Wright - Druid. Not much is known about this mysterious Lord, as he keeps to himself mostly. One of the few who moved out of Sparrowflight after it arrived on this world.

Yes..this information will become important :p. Been way too long though, years. Originally there were nine, however, I already forgot two..and now having issues remembering one more.

Depends on the drink. Elven Wine would take cases of the stuff to bother you (but some of the best tasting drink you will ever taste). Dwarven Ale? Get close enough to smell it and you could get drunk (and if you could get close enough to actually drink..it is um..potent tasting).

Ok as for how much energy Ananda has. It is impossible to gage, unless she starts casting spells..keeps track of each she casts, (and how many of the small stones each burns (don't worry small spell stones are cheap) until she can not cast anymore. Once that happens, she will have a base of how many 'levels' of spells she can cast in a day.

She started with 30 in her bag, and yes the contents changed..as did what she was wearing. If she cast obscurring mist twice, she now has 28 in her bag. Sarlon will probably let her know to go chat with Amy about more funds to get more. Btw each small casting stone cost 5cp per.

Though it is a fantasy setting, don't worry about having to learn a system or anything. Plays just like Section 3 :D. Including changing shapes (1x a day she can change to Wolf, Bear, or Hawk), Sam can do just about what she could before, but also talk to and control plants. And heal. :). Once we get past the town you are currently in, more will become clear :angel:

Think I have most figured out, but don't think all of them...

intent on finding shelter there, carefully considering whether robbing someone of their intellect would be best... or ... somehow... she got the feeling that breaking an enchantment might be the best thing for the situation... somehow... (not sure about these)

Her eyes are busy looking for those who could spot her.
She casts a spell that she knows (somehow) that will protect Amy from things shot at her Shield, and keeps an eye on the manticore confrontation, feeling her hands burn with fire wanting to leap (Burning hands). (if any spells aren't readily apparent from flavor-text, lemme know. I tried to make it obbvy)

The ones above I am guessing something that lowers intelligence (but can't think of it off hand) and maybe dispel? Neither would work against Sermator.

I figure those are good fifth-levels for her to know...
The spell on Amy was "Protection from Arrows: Subject immune to most ranged attacks."
The spell ready on her hands is Fireball good ol' classic. :D

I prefer the Shield spell when looking to stop mundane arrows. Also offers AC vs melee attacks, and negates Magic Missile :p.

With the way my character works, might just work, honestly...He's basically a living 'Portal-gun', though I'd made him long before the game came out...so I can see him ending up on the wrong plane, or wanting to wander them :) No worries either way, just noticed the story, read the background to page 40 or so, and decided to see if I could sneak in ;)
