When I fill out information to get info I want to catch sites that promise not to sell my name.

So I make up a name.

The other day I put my first name in as Naked Chicago and last name as Cubs.

So I'm getting spam directed to Naked Chicago Cubs.

Do I need to find the Cubs and tell them to take off all their clothes so I can give them these messages?

I had something like that happen purely by chance once. I signed up for a credit card with this one company, and the card arrived with my name spelled. My first name was spelled as "Micheal", and my middle initial was wrong.

Shortly after that, I started receiving all kinds of junkmail with the same misspelling. Worse yet, some of it was an outright scam, so apparently they didn't care who they sold my info to.

I didn't say anything back then, but if something like that would happen today, I would call them and complain, and probably even cancel the card.
