Last couple of times I've tried to edit my post, the circle thing by the "Save" button kept going round and round for a very long time and it never saved the edited post.

Yes, that issue has been brought to our attention before.

A fix is being worked on, but unfortunately, it's rather low on a long "to do" list.

In the meantime, where you try to edit, and it just hangs in place, simply click on the "Go Advanced" button, and save it that way. The "go advanced" section doesn't suffer from this problem.
