I'll admit that I spent the vast majority of my time on storefront where I worked, so I tended to screw up a bit on drive-through. Screwed up orders, a lengthy wait and the occasional dropped handful of change. I did my best, but heck, mistakes happen.

Although because I spent so much time on store front, my most common mistake took the form of this conversation.

"Hi, welcome to Tim Horton's."

"Yes, I'd like _________"

"Your total is $_____. Is that for here to to go?"

I'd give myself a hearty  The customers usually laughed it off.

We used to have someone (a manager, no less) who would, when a Drive-Thru customer said their order was to go, hand it out on a lobby tray.
